Is there currently a way to get FFXI into windowed mode? It's really bugs me at full screen that I can't tab out.

yes there is, an its called windower

I think he just wanted this person to know that the software they were getting is against the TOS... I wouldn't want to be the person who tells someone I'm using it not knowing I'm not supposed to be then get suspended or banned.Originally posted by Kailea-DsigpicComment

You won't get suspended/banned (or shouldn't) if you get caught with it. You'll get a mark or warning on your account the first time unless yo use it to cheat. Which you shouldn't. Don't talk about windower in game and I suggest not using any of its plugins.

Playonline doesn't like it, this is an official fansite basically, so ffxionline.com doesn't like it. Their reasons for not liking it are somewhat ambiguous but we can only assume it's to prevent botting (even though most of us know it's a crock). Oh well. If you want to use a windower, google it or something, cus you won't find links here and most threads get locked.Comment

I don't hack or cheat in anything.
I just want it in windowed mode so I can still talk to people on MSN and AIM; I find it annoying when I can't talk to people unless I logout of a game...Comment

figure the rest out, secondly if you guys are willing to support .dat transfers an file swaps, as well as things like model viewer. then you cant exclude this as well.

As far as file swapping and dat viewing goes, neither of those affect or re-engineer the game to your advantage. Dat swapping only affects what you see and not anyone else. Model viewer only lets you see models outside of the game.
