I participated in the Beseiged on Odin last night. As a 63 drg with att and acc gear while eating sushi, I was missing ALOT. When I did hit it was fo 3-10. My wyvern hit more than I did and was doing around 13-20 dmg. Granted this was a level 5 attack. I was above average on the level 1 trolls that attacked the other day.

I wasnt able to participate in Besiged before but youd think shivas double slap would do more then 30 damage lol.

I was able to participate in one of the level 5 besieged that happened on Leviathan last night. It was a total blast. Luckily we kept those stoopid lizard men away from our Taru friend. It was hilarious, lots of people shouting to defend the Taru. Lots of death as well. They pumped those mobs up a lot. I was very pleased with how it went, and I am looking forward to even higher level besieged.

I was able to gain 293XP/IP from the one I participated in. I was also happy to find that if I just applied filters like I would normally do in Dynamis that the lag was not any worse than I have experienced in Dynamis before. So to cut down on your lag just turn on all your chat filters, turn off weather effects, shadows, footstep effects, and spell effects during battle. This should help anyone who is not already doing this before these fights.

I heard there is a NPC who can warp you back to Jeuno, but where is he?

Anyway on the home point question,

My home point is Bastok because I use the outpost teleport system to get around the conquest area of Vana'diel.

As for getting to the Treasure area, I use my Olduum Ring.

Thanks for your suggestions! It seems that everyone on the server wants to protect that little taru. For obvious reasons of course! But i am looking forward to it.

I have to admit, since the update those level 5 Besieged are fun. I missed the first one (Undead Horde) but friends were saying we almost lost on that one. We did have a general kidnapped/killed though. It took about an hour for him to get back.

I did get in the Troll Besiege, however, and literaly had a blast (bomb cluster self-destructed and wiped out about 50 people ). Dead bodies as far as the eye could see. It was glorious.

P.S. Considering I'm only 1000xp into 75, the amount of times I had to hp I would have been deleveled. So, no, you don't lose experience in Besieged.

I can confirm as well that you do NOT lose exp when you die in besieged. I died 4 times last night, no xp loss.

I did find it interesting that I zoned into Al Zhabi after the besieged started, I did NOT have sanction on, and still got 700 xp and 700 IS points.

Besieged has been one of my favorite things so far about this expansion. I can't wait to do more!!

I think the Taru is around I-10 in the Al-Zhabi zone. I am just writing this from memory so do not quote me. If the location I said was not right. He is located in the first southern square when you zone in to Al-Zhabi from Whitegate.

He is a Taru standing on a box, and he is wearing sunglasses. You will usually see a few people standing around him ^^

Imagine my surprise the first night the expansion was activated when I found this Taru and just answered yes without paying much attention and ended up standing on top of a very large pillar in Rollanberry Fields. hehe.

I still laugh everytime he warps me and says "Uh oh!" as I begin to zone. lol

You missed the earlier Trolls one. Since it was the first after maintenance, folks were a bit unprepared. After a lot of deaths, we were practically fighting with our last breaths in front of Hall of Binding, Undead troop announcement didn't help morale one bit but we held on and pushed them back. Undead one was much better. We only losed 1 general and no prisoners so far.
