    Well I think these change is for the better. As far as I know Besige is supposed to be more challening. So far i thinkg SE wants to make this a little more interesting. I have yet to experience besige. so i hope i can tonight!

      If they wanted to make besieged more challenging, then they need to limit the number of people that can participate. With 500 people sitting in one spot waiting to kill 10 mobs that pop, the lag is so awful that by the time I can target one, it is already dead. This is with all my filters on and all my effects off (also reduced model count, clipping pane, and animation).

      Also there need to be some reward for support classes. Rewards should not be based on damage dealt. They could have a sign-up npc to get into the bastion with a limit of say 40ish people. They could make it so (possibly) different waves of PCs face different waves of NPCs.

      Just making more, tougher mobs isn't going to solve anything.

        Well, i totally agree your point.... but, that is why I think SE is fixing this. I am yet unsure what they tought of this on the test server. It is clear that the test server is not an actual representation of what actually happens in the game. I forsee still a few more tweeks here and there untill they feel Besiged is right.

          yeah, besieged will get harder and harder until you lose <_<

          and about the archaic mirror... today, while i was getting the halvung staging point, i run past an Archaic Mirror mob thing @_@ me, being on thf45, couldnt do anything :x so i watched a 75?nin/whm kill it with ranged attack because crawlers were righ tnext to it....

          can anyone tell me what happens if you kill it?

                Did they really say they're making them tougher? Every time the beastmen plan to attack the city, 500 people just start camping the entrance on my server. Either that or the beastmen get killed by a crazy EXP party running amok in the woodlands... >_<

                  Wow. That was amazing.

                  I just finished the first two Besieged battles on Phoenix since the implementation of the update. I'm hugely impressed. It's definitely more fun with less people of course, but it's still ridiculously more fun now. They attacked consecutively, first the Undead Swarm and then Mamool Ja. I'm now waiting for the Trolls to come on down. In all, I've gained ~1,200 EXP/IS.

                  This is really awesome now. Go on and give it a try!

                    On Pandy today we had a level 5 Undead Swarm attack. They actually managed to breach the first set of gates before we repelled them.

                    BTW, the beastmen can take prisoners if they breach the gates, even if they are defeated. They took 3 prisoners this attack.

                      Well, amidst the massive complaining I've heard about the first few besieges, it seems to be picking up pace. I just wonder how long before people start complaining about repelling a swarm of mobs every week.

                      Also, it's kind of sad, the first besieged on Ragnarok was like 10 mobs due to people killing the mobs on the way to Aht Urhgan. And even then, the ones that got into the city were promptly manaburned to death.

                        what determines the level of beastmen army? Sometimes they only train to level 1, sometimes up to level 3 on Titan.

                          I've heard of a few theories:

                          Number of People in Al Zahbi/Whitegate.

                          Number of <insert mob horde here> killed between each beseiged.

                          Number of Archaic Mirrors destroyed/active.

                          But none are proven yet, as far as I know.

                            I'm not sure what it is. I've seen multiple Lv1 Besieges going on in Bismarck... alot of other servers have people talking about Lv3 and Lv5 ones, they may have happened on Bismarck, but I haven't seen any.

                              Midgardsormr is having all 3 attack us one after another. Undead at level 5, then trolls at 5, and now lizard-guys at level 5. We had no time to rest at all between undead and trolls. I honestly don't know how we won. >_>a

                              I got 350 IS for doing over 2k damage on the undead, and 487 for meleeing with carbuncle on the trolls...doing maybe 300 damage.

                              They made it a lot harder than the ones I've been to though... BLMs were getting resisted left and right. Our level 75BLM commented on them having more magic resistance than kirin. I was meleeing trolls for a massive 0 damage most of the time. >< And had horrible accuracy against them.

                              Edit/afterthought:
                              They totally should give imperial standing/exp for raising people. That's what I ended up doing most of the time against the undead.
