I created Aelathir by referencing some Tolkein-Elvish name/surname charts. I just kind of put syllables together until I was happy.

El-ah-theer for those who are interested. In WoW, I shortened it to Ael, which everyone pronounced as Ale, but because I knew that it was short for Aelathir, I pronounced it like the letter L.

I pronounce it 2 ways myself, so I can't blame anyone else for mispronouncing it!

Oh-Yo(with an o sound as in dog)-Yoo
And O(o as in dog)-Yo(as in dog)-Yoo.

My mules are:

Airik: Eye-Rik

And Aeolas - Ae(the a sound in hay or ale as Aelathir said)-Oh-Las.

Ae, by the way is old English and was originally pronounce Ae as in Ale. Though it became El, so you're ok Aelathir ^^
I just made Elfie sounding syllables too for him hehe!
