I have an unnatural hatred for "lol". I just don't like it for some reason. I generally say haha, or make a face or something.

I don't see any problem with emoticons in a blog. It's not professional writing or anything, so people should feel free to be as casual as they like. The only time it bothers me is when I have to explain what O.o means to Amy in Accounts Recievable.

I use faces and symbols all the time as well ^^. Anywho, its been quite some time since I've played but I dont remember too many people like that. This community is one of the best that I've experienced, and I have seen the worst imo (Halo ftw ^.^) But /welcome to the the world of Vana'diel. Find a good LS(linkshell) and make some friends, thats the best way to enjoy this great game!

strange, I never got any tells or sexist related messages as a mithra (might have had something do with with my name being Jho)

and I'm prone to use lol every now and then, but mostly take advantage of "lawl" when I'm poking fun

I use 'lol' I don't have any problems with it. I don't think I've used it in an important document yet.

One thing I have been using too much though is orz... sucks when most of the people you know outside of the internet don't know what it means. >.>

Just keep in mind, a lot of people playing this game are probably testosterone driven teen boys. Anyway, the worst I've seen, is a guy sending pictures of his package...naked...to girls' email addys in the LS.

A lot of M2F or F players who get hit on BList, but I think its better to warn them that such harrassment is against the rules. Even if you are not the type to bother, at least warn them so they will think next time they want to pester someone.

And if someone sends you stuff like that on your POL mail, contact S-E. Thats not called for and could even be illegal (if the recipient is under 18). BIG violation of the rules and common decency.
