Pso'Xja - So jha (Same as Suteru)

I remember talking to a GM once, and even SE's own employees can't agree on a few places, mainly the french names like Bostainux (I can't even spell it) and Beadeux. Apperently, there's like 5 different ways of pronouncing Beadauex floating around SE's officies.

Uhmmm it might be bcause I am swedish and we pronounce some wovels differently but for Mhaura I just pronounce it like:

MHAA - URA

This would sound more like MA-OORA in english

(I don't know how to use english phonetics sadly since swedish and english use diffrent phonetics for some obscure reason) .

Uhmmm it might be bcause I am swedish and we pronounce some wovels dirrently but for Mhaura I just pronounce it like:

MHAA - URA

This would sound more like MA-OORA in english

(I don't know how to use english phonetics sadly since swedish and english use diffrent phonetics for some obscure reason) .

That's not actually all that much different than how I say it, and English is the only language I know! I wish we could get whoever named these areas in here to clear this up 100%.

I always thought it was fay buh. Huh.

I switch between MAOruh and MAHAHAOruh, depending. Always pronounce the first syllable with way too much emphasis.

Boss-tan-yew Oob-lee-ette.

And I still maintain that those areas outside Windurst are actually East and West Sahoobityboobity.

I pronounce it "Luh-Theen", but from NPCs, it looks like "La Thayne"

And what about Xarcabard? "Zar-kuh-bard"?

As far as La Theine goes no clue.

I can give the swedish run-down on how Xarcabard would be pronounced though (well the swedish way of pronouncing it that is).

KZAR-KA-BARD (Yeah our language has some funny sounds)

X is either pronounced as the equalent of either S, K or KZ in swedish.

Do you know of any sound clips where I'd be able to hear the KZ sound you're speaking of? I'm not 100% certain what KZ would sound like and I definitely want to know.

Oh dear god no clue where to find a sound-clip of it, but hmm let me try explain it.

I'll use the word "Tzar" as an example.

Take the "Tz" out of that and replace the "T" sound with a short but very hard "K" sound and you basically have the swedish KZ -sound.

If I had a mic attached to my system here at home I would record the sound myself for you to hear but I sadly don't.

Remind me in a pm tomorrow though since brother has a recording studio and I can ask him to record it for me tomorrow though (he is currently at our mother since it is her birthday, I myself couldn't sadly visit her this year )

i always pronounced Xarcabard "ex-ca-bard"... at first out of misreading the name and now out of bad habit ;_;
