A fun little advice post for Friday

Hey all,

I'm almost done with my Master's degree as soon as I can finish formatting a paper and tweaking a film.

As you may have surmised, I haven;t been able to play FFXI for a while now so I've been fantasizing (sad, but whatever keeps me going at 4AM in front of a terminal) about what to do in game.

I started leveling COR, but soon realized i was going to need to level RNG up for later.

However I still have a 61 MNK I sort of left in medias res and I only am on ToAU mission 3 and have only the Azouph Isle Staging point.


My question for you all is:

a) level RNG and then COR and have happy pirate fun since Missions will be around?

b) finish that MNK so I have 2 75 jobs to play around with whenever my LS stops being lazy and does stuff?

c) get back on my main and get all my missions and assault stuff done?


I'm sure someone else can thing of other things to do like finish CoP so any suggestions are welcome. This is all in good fun, so.

Which is more fun for you Cor or Mnk? I say give Cor a shot for a while, then go level Mnk just to mix things up.

I say you go at it without a set regiment. You're back for the first time in a long time, so nix the schedules and just aim to have fun.

This is the best advice for everyone in the game period. Everyone just needs to have fun

I have taken a few breaks from the game from time to time, and each time I come back to it I find it difficult to decide what I should do or need to do. In the end I ussually end up spending my first few days back socializing with friends or helping people (fun for me) with stuff, generally being lazy and having fun before I decide how I want to gear up for some leveling or mission grinding.
