Finaly got expansion, What should i do first?

I was thinking of course, do the boat quest. Sure its easy enough to figure out, just go talk to the guy in mhaura right? But once i get to the city... what then? ive been out of the loop for a couple weeks, so i honestly have no idea what would be the best thing for me to do.

Boat quest is more complicated than that, silly-nilly.

First, you must talk to some guy in Tenshodo (in Lower Jeuno), then complete one of his quests. (I found the gathering of the six SJ items to be take less than a hour or so.) Then just give the Tenshodo dude the items and your off! (You can also trade him one of those niffty coffer keys.)

As for what you should do after that...go and listen to the awesome music in Arpeggo Reef! :D

As soon as you get off the boat from Mharua, walk straight foward, to the right of the tent across from the docks. Buy a map. From there, go west up the staircase, then double back east until there's a wall. Go into the door on the left, and walk through the place until you get your cutscene.

That's the first thing you should do in Aht Urghan for sure.

But yeah, VERY first thing I'd say would be go and get your boat pass. Try to have a certain coffer key or testimony on hand to exchange for it, as that's the simplest way.

After you get the Aht Urghan, I'd suggest getting your 3 new jobs, then missions, then assault/beseiged.

Have fun! I just walked around the cities talking to everyone, listening to their stories, accepting the quests. Then I explored the areas outiside the cities a bit and killed some new monsters just for fun.

First Most things I beleive, is getting your boat pass XD

Second Just explore, talk to NPCs in town, and do quests or missions.

Just have fun with it and try to see the sights
Aht Urghan is big there is alot to see and do!

First thing I did though was probably die to an Imp outside of Nashmau

Sages, you die to things in every zone. Including Sarutabaruta.

Personally, I spent 4 hours exploring the city, getting/doing quests and talking to NPC's. After that, I ventured outside to take a look at all the shiny new mobs (I didn't fight any, was too scared). Then I went to Nashmau and did the same.

I spent about 3 days doing... well... nothing. A few quests, a few missions, an assault or two. The rest of it was just me and a few buddies messing around. Lots of fun.

Thanks for the advice everyone, Two days in and i have all staging points, THE REEF IS EVIL!!!

Getting PFC today, going to do 3 more assaults today, and then head out to Mount Zhalyum (sp) and do some more manaburning. Yesterday went out there with a group and a really good bard, first time i chained 10+ with manaburn setup, SO MUCH FUN. left with 4 cocoons too :D

So when do you think they will add the farmable NMs? now THAT scares ME. considering most of the mobs are dc+... but i cant wait to solo some crazy Calibri NM or somthin. This expansion offers so much... and all those new zones they are going to add eventualy.
