we get troll threads and spam posts too. the diffrence between us and Alla is we have a BAHJILLION mods with itchy "lock thread NOW" fingers... Allah doesnt

rly in my opinion that takes away freedom of speach.. unless what you speak is in agreeance with what the mods speak

We have set Forum Rules, says right in there we will be 'nazi' like at closing spamm threads. Lot of stuff if you go read it, mods here just more prudent to carry out the rules set to make sure everyone hopefully has a plesant time.

The fact that you're still allowed to post here is evidence in itself that the mods are tolerant of views and attitudes that conflict with their own. I haven't figured out yet if that's a good thing.

I haven't signed it. Mostly because 1.) Online petitions rarely accomplish anything, maybe because so many people (myself included) are ambivalent about it, and 2.) While it's entirely possible that there is a "rogue GM" out there, SOE and SE have their own rules and guidelines for how their employees are supposed to conduct themselves, and I trust them to deal with the matter internally. GMs are customer service reps. Most of the time, they aren't going to be telling you something you want to hear. That's business, and life.

The [GM]Jcblue thing is a little scary. I know it's entirely possible. I'm not sure what it is like now at SOE (they do use SOE for their NA GM staff correct?) but when I was a guide for EQ I made some friends with GMs. I heard pretty consistantly of GMs being fired for abusing powers and taking stress out on players, and even was part of a clean up team for it happening on my own server.

I stay ambivilent on the issue at the moment, as I haven't been close enough to anyone that has been effected by it, But having seen it happen first hand... I keep an open mind to the possibility.
