I tried to see if I could find the audio file for "Distant Worlds" and convert it to a regular audio format, but it just doesn't seem to be stored with the Chains of Promathia music files for some reason... I'm starting to think that perhaps Square Enix had hosts that song server-side rather than having it stored on your computer. I could be wrong though, maybe I just didn't look hard enough, anyone know for sure?

It's on your computer, though it's encrypted so you can't convert it.

I really wish I could find a CoP static so I can see this cutscene one day :/

You sure about that? I mean you are aware there's an application you can use to convert the music files used in FFXI from bgw format to wav format, right? Or perhaps you are saying that it cannot be converted with said application? Well either way, does anyone have any idea where the file is located at? I do have some txt. files with a list of the file locations for all the music, but "Distant Worlds" isn't on there, and I'm pretty sure it covered all the music in the sound3 folder so I'm out of ideas as to where it might be located.

I have an MP3 of that song on my computer as well. A friend of mine sent it to me via AIM sometime after COP was released.

All I can really remember is that is in ROM1 and is in ATRAC-3 Format so it cant really be decoded..I think it's 900.bgw
