Hm, it's all subjective. If you want a challenge, become a taru monk. You'll be more reliant on gear that's suited toward monk, but if you do your job right, people will learn to respect you and you can put shame to some elvaans who are also monks.

One of the best MNKs on Ragnarok, is a Taru. He has full merit points, and full AF2. O.o

well i have a 28 elvaan mnk with tropical punched then full ATT+ gear STR+ rings eact.. that lvl 25 windurts ATT+ ranged ATT+gear leftover from my SAM

anyway he has those lvl 10 knuckles all ATT gear and eats rice dumplings.. i have to lay off the boosting cause i alwways pull aggro from the tank if i boost everychance.. even a whm spamming cure 3 on me wont take hate when i go all out

so pfft to taru

Ever seen a taru do a 1500 DMG Asuran Fists? I have, he wiped the floor w/ my buddies Asuran Fists (my buddy is Elvaan.)

with a brd in PT I hit 700+ with rampage as 60 war taru... even pld couldn't hold hate off me ^^
300-400 without brd, not that different from other race.

Some races are better suited for some jobs.... but ultimately, in my opinion, it's really the player behind the Character. I've seen some pretty cool Galka WHM's doing a kick ass job!
