>.< Doesn't sound as exciting as I thought it would. We had a Mamool Ja yesterday sometime. Last I checked it was at 120% so it was probably pretty entertaining.
If it is the first besiege for your server after your server acquires the Astral Candescence, then the first beastmen attack will be at 100. For every consecutive win after that, the beastmen will add 10% to their forces. Here's an example:
First attack trolls.
Trolls reach 100 and move into Advancing stage for attack
You win.
Second attack Lamia.
Lamia reach 100 and move into preparing. Continue to gain until 110 and then Advance.
You win.
Third attack Mamool.
MJ reach 100, move into preparing. Continue until they gain 120, then Advance.
You lose.
Fourth attack Trolls.
Trolls reach 100, and then Advance.
Anyone see the pattern yet?
Anyways, with this setup, S-E has designed the game mechanic so that it will gradually amp up the strength of the attacks in relation to every player win. With each increased attack, they send more mobs and stronger mobs. Eventually with this pattern, the beastmen will reach a strength level that players cannot win against.
Rumor is, Fenrir has already lost their astral candescence. Can anyone from that server confirm if that was true? Also, can anyone from Fenrir confirm how that affected the merchants and trade guilds. If losing the candescence is like being in last place for conquest, then the craft guilds might not have alot of supplies for the crafters. Anyone from Fenrir able to look into this?
Fenrir has now recovered the Astral Candescence. The group I was with got the last 3 NMs down to 15%, 25% and 25%. The group after us was able to finish them off. For winning the BC they got the title Subduer of the Mamool Ja.
Here's the things I noticed happen when you don't have the Astral Cadescence.
1. Sanction only lasts 1 hour
2. You can only use the portals for assault
3. Mobs give less xp (Edited: AC gives a xp boost )
4. The Beastment that have the Astral Cadescence are harder for what they con
I read on Alla about Fenrir loosing the Astral Candesence. The Mamool Ja attacked during server maintenence. Very Sneaky.

I'm kind of curious why people are intent on forming PTs for besieged? When the forces start moving toward town and everyone gathers at the gate... I start seeing people shouting for PTs, and I end up getting blind invites.
Why?
The mobs are able to be attacked by anyone. Is there some sort of EXP bonus for being in a PT? I didn't really notice much difference in EXP last time I was in a party.
Parties will probably make more sense when there aren't 300+ people waiting for 15 mobs to spawn. At the moment it doesn't last long enough to worry about curing people, refreshing them, casting regen, or any other buff. Once the newness rubs off, people get back to more normal things and the mobs become stronger, you will need those buffs just as much as you would elsewhere.
