Ok, I am running 3 different accounts. Two of them are US accounts and one is European. (The game wasn't available in European version until a year after I purchased the first two copies)
Now, I've purchased ONE european expansion for Aht Urgan that will not install.
This is because the computer I originally used for FFXI is gone, and I've installed it on a new one using the US CD's. I have no problems with promathea, nor logging in to play the game, but when I want to register the Content ID for Aht Urgan, I cannot log on to the game using the SAME username and password for some very very stupid reason, because the account is European and the game is installed using US Discs.
I originally purchased and paid for the European version for my nephew, but he didn't like the game, so I took it over to play 3 toons at home (with my girlfriend). The CD's are at his home because of this, and I'm hoping to save the trip to fix this
So, the big question now is:
1. Can I hack FFXI in some way, so that it will allow me to log into the playonline Service with the username/password? (I'm sure this applies to differences on US/JP version as well). This is only to allow me to enter the username/password that I always use anyway for playing the game.
I really hope there is a way to do this so I don't have to re-install the whole thing, which is a nightmare.. 6 hours of patching is NOT an option just because I can't enter a stupid password.

I can easilly install Aht Urgan using the US DVD upgrade set on all 3 computers, so that's no problem, the beef is getting to the Playonline update center.

. Over here, there are almost no Internet-cafe's, let alone they having FFXI installed..
