        Re: PS2.. Treasures... Reg Code

when i 1st bought ffxi for ps2 packaged with the HDD the registration codes didnt work.. turned out one of the employees had used the codes cause when i called POL they said that was a active account on someone elses name/CC

so i had to buy a PC copy cause Gamestop wouldnt give me another copy cause they come packaged with the HDD at the time and i had allready opend AND installed my HDD

the PC version i got was the same thing.. reg codes allready used..

i ended up getting 3 copys before i actualy had one that worked AND most stores refuse to exchange saying "how do we know u didnt use the code yourself and are trying to get another"

Dude I work in marketing and deal with our Mail Order department often. If a customer says something is wrong we have to believe them. It's the same when a customer disputes a credit charge we do the credit company calls us and literally says "We are taking back the money from <so and so's name> unless you can prove with a signed delivery confirmation from the customer".

Of course even with signed delivery proof it isn't always enough for a credit company to believe the company and they still take the money. The industry is really geared toward the customer if you don't fight then no one will listen or care, but please when you do fight it do it in a calm well asserted and knowledgable manner.

Screaming like a lunatic with only get the cops dragging you away from their store. Just your presence and making it clear to customers around you that you've been ripped off will make the store listen and help you. Especially if the manager is present.

Best time is usually early morning or around noon, have better luck usually of manager being present then. Not to often you'll find the manager present late in the day, if he is then he's a dedicated manager to his job and probably gives you even better chance to correcting the issue.

hehe i live on the south side of san antonio

here the managers dont care.. and if u keep demanding your $$ back after they say no the manager will usually kick your butt and if he needs have some employees jump you also

i know it sounds like im jokeing. but its happened in front of me several times and even happened TO me a few times before

                Here is an update...

I tried calling SE...but the lines were busy. I'm sure they already know the problem!

So, I decided to go straight to the EB store. Luckily the manager was there, not that it mattered because they clerk knew the situation as well, and freely traded me a fresh copy. HE even opened it for me in front of me. All in all, I still like EB for being cool. I'm now on the game with ToAU registered...
