Can't find chars

I am really Sorry if there is another thread like tis but can't find it, but i just got the new X-box 360 FFXI and i played the beta but after installing the game when i went to play my old characters were not there and my Beta characters were there and i could not find my old characters and i did not transfer them from the beta. So my question is how can i get my old characters back?
