Best FFXI Review So Far

I have to give Eurogamer props on this review. That's about all I can say other than they made a good argument and made good points. I'm not sure the reviewer actually played FFXI:

even if you do spend one whole month of your life playing solely this game (during which time you can earn no money from other work to feed yourself or your family) everybody that is currently playing the game moans and bitches that you haven't played it enough yet and it's only 600 days in when your ninja character with thief sub-job reaches level 75 and completes his set of AF armour that the game really begins to make sense.

NIN/THF won't make it past 15 >.>
AF is completed at 60, and if it takes you 75 to complete it, then shaaame.
NINs nowadays don't use AF

Ok, the point of those three statements were to highlight a coupld of intricacies of the game that the reviewer missed-

Meaning they aren't an avid player of FFXI, or at least a High-Enough level one-

Meaning that the positive review is even more of a suprise.

Kudos, Eurogamer. Once again proving that you are a better site than IGN. I hate the Euro's for being more reasonable ._.

going to check it out. From the quote tho sounds like he's just collecting bits and pieces of rumors about this game and put them together. without actually knowing what he's talking about

I personally think he played untill like level 10 or so, and been very loudy towards other players, and he probably hasn't even tried to learn how to party and such. In that case, yes, you get shouted at of being a noob if you still don't Provoke after they explained you how. Besides, doubt he ever got Ninja, because only low levels know Ninja/Thief is a joke..

Still, works to our advantage, cos the people that believe that type of fan boy nonsense are exactly the types of people we want to avoid.

i dont think that reviewer even played ffxi at all..

it seems to me he just read the box cover and when he ran out of obvious things to say he started explaining what a MMORPG IS instead of specificly talkign about FFXI

I dont thik that is a good review.

And some other things.

Point of my post: "Best review of FFXI SO FAR, meaning that while it is in no ways perfect, it is a reasonable attempt at reviewing the game.

The reviewer goes into detail about elements of the game that make it enjoyable and he doesnt nitpick over minute and insignificancies.

I don't know how you guys missed that.
