Dave starts casting Raise on Unluckybotter. [GM]Dave>> This would be really profound if you were into norse mythology. Dave casts Raise on Unluckybotter. Jormungand deals 8974 damage to Unluckybotter.
Unluckybotter was defeated by Jormungand. Unluckybotter falls to level 32. Dave starts casting Raise on Unluckybotter.

I had heard that they are in the idea process of making Odin and Alexander avatars, but I highly doubt it. We have to remember though ffxi takes on their own images of things so what we may assume to be the correct image of odin might be changed to suit ffxi's idea of it. Even so that does look like the one at the end of the trailer. I guess we will have to wait and see.
Geez, guys if you are going to debate the image being inaccurate to Norse Mythology at least get Slepinir's leg count correct. Slepinir is an 8 legged horse not 6, born from Loki when he was in mare form and seduced Svadilfari. Slepinir has the ability to gallop across the sky and travel to the underworld and back.
Yes for Odin the whole detail is he wore a cape, missing 1 eye, has a long grey beard, and a long brimmed hat that lowered over the socket were the missing eye is. Odin also possesses other animals then just that horse. He has a goat that from his udder forever flowed mead (an alcholic drink), a boar that would magically ressurect itself to die and become thier meal, he also had 2 wolves, 2 ravens.
The wolves were Eke and Freke which were his protectors and guard when he rode into battle on SleipnÃr, his 2 Ravens were Hugin and Munin which were his spies and messengers.

Then of course as extra effects he had the ring Draupnir, spear Grungir, and the bow Ichaival. Of course I've yet to see any recreations of Odin possess all this so don't read to far into the mythologies to guess an appearance as being something, they might fit some of the stuff in there but not all of it.
For info on the effects:
Grungir when thrown never missed it's target (Probably the ultimate in spears)
Draupnir on the 9th day would rain down 8 gold rings of same weight and value (Ultimate Treasure Hunter)
Ichaival with each pull of just 1 arrow on it's release would become 10 arrows (Ultimate Barrage)
Gungnir really isn't a spear per see, it is a Javelin. And Oden weren't really pleased with that gift from Loke (the story about how he got them is pretty long but involves deception, dwarves, trolls and Loke selling his head to a dwarf).
While Gungnir always struck its target no matter the distance the javelin wouldn't return to the hand of Oden after it has been thrown, when compared to the gift a Dwarf gave to Tor at the same time (Mjölner) Oden really wasn't satisfied with this gift. This hammer not only struck with a thunderous noise but also returned to the hand of Tor when it had struck its target
Gungnir is usually portayed standing next to Oden's throne, but he seldom uses it due to having to reclaim it every time it is thrown.
Keep in mind, sig might be outdated I just update it a few times per week.
