Equipment Recharging

This is a question I have had for some time now, but have never been able to find an answer. It's in regard to items that have enchantments on it. Once you use up all the charges that item has, can it be recharged?

For instance, I have an eldritch horn hairpin. The enchantment gives +3 INT and MND, but it only has 50 charges. Once I use them all, will I be unable to use the enchantment ever again?

yes, once the charges are gone, you can't use the enchantment anymore.

But can't you recharge them? I've come back and I've found all those items and I don't understand them very well hehe

The only thing I know is that you can recharge Empress Band trading it to a guard (100cp/per charge).

Well, I knew we could recharge the two exp rings. But I was curious about the other items that had enchantment effects. Thanks Neighbortaru for the info.

no you can't recharge them.

this info is wrong, but if you are curious what my theory was

what happens, iirc, is the item becomes just a regular item that you can give/sell to a crafter to "re-craft" the enchanted item. Example, Warp cudgel used up becomes an oak cudgel. You can then take this oak cudgel and have a woodworker re-synth a warp cudgel with wind+etheral oak lumber.
(at least that's how i believe it works)

No, it just becomes a Warp Cudgel with 0 charges. Effectively the same as an Oak Cudgel, but still a Warp Cudgel. You need to make a new Oak one to make a new Warp one.

Can attempt to desynth the warp however.. who knows if you get an Oak back, and then re-synth for warp? Chances are you will not though :>

I thought there was an npc to re-enchant some items, in either Selbina or Mahaura.

As far as I know only select items are rechargable. Others you have to redo the event that got you the item in the first place. Only rechargables ones I know of all come from the conquest guards.

Otherwise just like Tactic Perls (5 charges) you have to toss it and redo the quest again to get a new one with 5 charges again. Then you also got Spirit Lantern, Healing Feather, Refresh Musk, Wyvern Feed, Astral Pot, Counter Earring, Gamushara Earring, Deadeye Earring, Naruko Earring, Janizary Earring, Getsul Ring, Sanation Ring, Assassin's Ring, Tactical Ring, and Pacifist Ring all of them require you to do the "Pulling the Strings" ENM if you want a fully charged one of these again.

If you list a used up warp cudgel on the AH does the buyer not get a fully charged one? Or can you even list a used one? Could player A sell the item through AH to friend (player B) then have B trade it to A.

You can't list one after you've used even one charge.
