  • Minor info from today's prepatch

    There wasn't much in there (from what I can tell so far) - no new items or quests or similar juicy stuff. Mostly spell FX from what I can tell.
    Most of the UI string tables were in there tho, which yielded the following very minor pieces of news:
    - order of the new jobs is BLU/COR/PUP (which makes sense cos that's the order they were announced in)
    - the main menu will no longer have a Playonline (temp-log) button - instead it will have Log Out and Shutdown buttons; not sure if the /templog command itself will also be removed

    Wish I had more to tell you but that's about all there is to it.


    NOTE: since POLUtils has its own forums now, I will no longer be using ffxionline.com as the place where I post my patch details - they'll be on the POLUtils forums instead. I will post links here tho.

    hmm i guess the items will be patched again after we install the expansion. Probably will have a whole new ROM folder altogether @@

              I think Pebbles means /pol if anyone's tried that. It takes you directly to a full screened POL menu. I think that is what has changed in the menu option. You may still be able to type in /pol, but I think SE though it was kinda useless as a button since most people usually use /logout and /shutdown.

              I don't really see a point for /pol unless you can use that and a web-browser at the same time. Another useless feature to begone with.

                VIT+1 CHR+1 HP+10
                Steals an enemy's MP. Ineffective against undead.
                MP+5 Deals dark damage to an enemy.
                HP-5 MP+5
                Deals earth damage to enemies within range. Additional effect: Accuracy Down.
                VIT+1
                Damage varies with TP.
                AGI+3
                Delivers a threefold attack. Accuracy varies with TP.

                Increases attack speed.

                  Seems equipping some spells alter your stats...either that or those stat changes are how much the spell is effected by that stat...but that wouldn't make much sense...

                        Three things that caught my eye:

                        STR+2 DEX+1 Shoots multiple needles at enemies within range.
                        They didn't.... >_>a 1000 needles?

                        STR+3 DEX+3 Enemies within range are temporarily prevented from acting.
                        Hmm...terror?

                        MND+2 Gives party members within area of effect the effect of "Stoneskin."
                        I can't think of any existing monster that does that. That's going to be as annoying as healing breeze. >_>a
