Looks like so far SE has exceeded my expectations for Blue Mage. Now my only question is weither or not Blue Mage can get the Warrior/PLD/DRK ex skills and be able to share them via subjobs...

Cause what it looks like, if you have a high enough blue subjob, you can equip the spells you need for stats that you are lacking in your main job (Say perhaps... STR on a Sword-Weilding RDM?) and use that subjob pretty much to further customize your job.

Even if this is not the case, I seems as if Blue Mage will become my primary Job either right next to, or even replacing my red mage. Who knows!

That's not our region map, it's the new one in which Quon and Mindartia are not included.

BRP already yelled at people on KI about that map. The katakana labels the region in question as アラパゴ　or Arapago.

I'm still waiting to hear the downside to being a Blue Mage...

For BLU, there is a specific example in the mag.

Level 5 BLU has 10 setting points.
In the pic, he sets Power Attack and Footkick, which uses 3 of his 10 setting points.

HP60
MP62
STR 7
DEX 8
VIT 8
AGI 9
INT 11
MND 8
CHR 8

I know this doesn't mean much since the stats are so close to the race bases at this level, and I don't know what race the char is, but he has no sub!

The pic also shows that each blue magic has stats with it. Here's a full example:
"Tanemaki" [seed roll?] (Plantoid type: physical type)
Additional effect: VIT down TP: adjust speed of charging
CHR+1 HP+10
Lv4~ MP cost 9 Blue Magic points 3

You can change the setting anywhere you want - you select it from "Magic List -> Blue Magic". Sorry for not saying this earlier

great post jonny Im looking forward to blue up to level 60 and thank god My ls and another do EXP fiestas.. My blu will be 60 near asap haha.

From what iv seen the only COR JA that uses a gun is "Quick Draw" think they will also be DD on the side? i was mainly seeing them as bards but instead of using music they well shot you lol

Wheee Blue Mage sounds sexier and sexier w/ each announcement.
Call me crazy but my friends and I are planning to lvl our BLU's together in a "Blue Burn" as we dubbed it(what we have to be creative!?) with another friend buffing us on Corsair~ sort of a "Hey lets lvl up new jobs to 75 together in a very interesting pt set up!"

tho right now i dont see COR being this kinda buffer, starting ti think of COR as more as a DD with buffs instead of buffer who can DD so i dont see it being in many "burn" pts
