I guess so, from the description. Can't quite read fro mthe picture.
And for some reason I keep reading Jonnyram as Journeyram even after 4 years ._.
There are painters who transform the sun into a yellow spot,
but there are others who with the help of their art and their intelligence
transform a yellow spot into the sun.

Which says nothing near what he states in the first post. I am not trying to dispute whether it's fact or not, just that technically nothing is official unless SE states it, and that I would like to see the article in full >BO
seriously, why do people turn into self rightous sherlock holmes when they post on the internet?
Armor Plate
Analyzer
Stabilizer
Volt Gun
Heat Seeker
Mana Jammer
Heat Sink
Stellus Screen
Auto Repair Kit
Flash Bulb
A lot of those have names that imply stats, while the others imply functions. For example, Armor Plate would, logically, increase it's DEF, Analyzer might increase its Acc, while Mana Jammer might have it cast Silence at the start of every battle, and Auto Repair Kit would give it Auto-Regen or have it heal itself.
Also guessing that basically when your Automaton dies, parts can/will break, which is where the "repairing" comes in - slot in a new part in that slot and you can resummon it.
So, basically, it's a programmable robot job, fuelled by consumables.
From what ive ben able to translate the pics are kinda blurry.
from what i was able to gather the screen we are looking at isnt the puppetmasters but the puppets itself.
It looks like you'll b eable to view the puppets stats from the same screen as your character.
The kanji is to blurry to make out to knwo what exactly they mean.. its the stuff above the stats.
Okay The automaton and the master will be visible in the same screen as part of the main menu. The green text box is speaking on that.
Its called the Automaton Attachment screen.. Wish I could see the full article im translating on the fly.
from the looks of things, blu looks like its front line. im assuming sword it's his bread and butter weapon with A- skill, do you guys think he'll be engaged throughout the fight and helping out with melee? sword melee hasnt really been spectacular for any job during a pt other than pld and off handing warriors. it looks like the ability to make the skill renkei-able and mb-able will be on a timer? making me think it might be smn-esque, where the blu only heads up to the front line when he is about to whip out a skill?

what do you guys think..
I've said before that BLU is going to be a front line mage. Black Mages will be back line, as well as rangers and summoners. Of course whm are back line with the occasional run in for curaga.
Also depending on when you learn a specific mob's abilities, then your job will shift and change accordingly. I.E. in the beginning you will be a tanker / attacker depending on the mobs you kill and learn their abilities. Like the crabs in Valkurm, & Qufim, I don't remember what the abilities is that makes it like stoneskin. You will be a tank or attack during that time period. After you level some more and when you learn other stuff like Battery Charge you may want to take a back seat in the later levels to recover MP to use other skills such as 1000 needles.
It's like smn, for the first 69 levels you will be curing. Then at level 70 you'll be kicking ass. Except I think your going to have more fun with BLU.
Also, I think you can Self SC with BLU since tp builds up with sword. You won't require TP to use the BLU magic, which will require MP, SE did state that you will be able to use some mob abilities as Skill chains, so I think the best setup you will see with a BLU may actually be BLU/SAM.
- ability "Blue Chain" allows you to use physical-type blue magic in skillchains
- ability "Blue Burst" allows you to use magic-type blue magic in magic bursts
- status of char changes depending on the blue magic chosen
- lv75 sword skill: 269 blue magic skill: 276, (could be affected by magic equipped though)
Hey blue mage, want a party?
Sure, should I come as a tank, DD, or a mage?
- ability "Blue Chain" allows you to use physical-type blue magic in skillchains
- ability "Blue Burst" allows you to use magic-type blue magic in magic bursts - status of char changes depending on the blue magic chosen
- lv75 sword skill: 269 blue magic skill: 276, (could be affected by magic equipped though)
Blue Magic chosen? Kinda sounds like you'll have to specify beforehand what kind of BLU you want to be. I remember someone saying something about having a certain number of points per level and each ability being a certain amount of points to "equip".
I think all 3 sound awesome. I'll be too busy trying out Assault with my static in the first few weeks to unlock 'em. lol
EDIT: Moved last paragraph. I confused myself. =P
NIN75/RNG75/RDM75
SMN66/COR66/WAR55/BRD55/DRK51
Stephen King's Wizard and Glass: Fools are the only folk on earth absolutely guaranteed to get what they deserve.
status of char changes depending on blue magic chosen. i think that refers to the type of skill you learned from which mob right? i remember reading that the mob vs mob chart plays a role in this, so if you picked big scissors from a crab and youre fighting a bat, it might be weaker since bats intimidate crabs and the blu takes on the status type of a crab right?
edit: found the blurb
Blue Mage
Acquisition of Spells
Can only get new abilities with Blue Mage as main
Must Defeat enemy before ability can be learned
Must be able to get XP from a mob to learn a spell from it
Can't learn it if you die
Must be within a certain distance of the monster
Setting Spells
Must 'Set' a learned spell
Blue Mage has 'set-up' points, based on level
Each spell costs a certain number of 'set-up' points
In addition to 'set-up' points, a maximum number of spells can be set
All Blue Magic depends on monster types. If you learn a Bird Spell, you use it on monsters weak to Birds.
Some abilities will be skillchainable and burst-able. Not all monster abilities will be available, but many will. More will be added with future patches.
i wonder how this will play into say, how well you tank against a bee if you use cocoon?
omniblast, didnt read that post of yours. im assuming that the ablities like metallic shield will be weakened quite a lot. like when you charm a crab and it does that ablity, it lasts no where as long as when youre fighting against one imo.

Sadly, I'm not sure why a single beastman or mob are 1000's of times stronger than adventurers. A Too Weak Crab, conned to a level 75 smn will have more HP than a level 75 smn sadly enough.
"Hey guys it says too weak, how come it survived Garuda's Predator Claw?" GTFO SE!
