I mean come on...if there was anyway that you could sub pup and still summon atomaton..then with bst and an Npc you could have a pt to exp with....something to think about...

seeing as u can't use an avatar and a pet at the same time i doubt they will let bst lvl with a maton and pet out at the same time

So, like, that Puppet Equipment screen is CRAZY...

They really are more like adorable customizable mechs than anything else.

They mentioned "Controlling it's behavior with items." I believe that some of the will have behavioral parameters in them, kind of like the "Gambit" system in FFXII. By combining different items, you can change its stats and behavior.

Just looking at that list, here are the parts they show...

Armor Plate
Analyzer
Stabilizer
Volt Gun
Heat Seeker
Mana Jammer
Heat Sink
Stellus Screen
Auto Repair Kit
Flash Bulb

A lot of those have names that imply stats, while the others imply functions. For example, Armor Plate would, logically, increase it's DEF, Analyzer might increase its Acc, while Mana Jammer might have it cast Silence at the start of every battle, and Auto Repair Kit would give it Auto-Regen or have it heal itself.

Also guessing that basically when your Automaton dies, parts can/will break, which is where the "repairing" comes in - slot in a new part in that slot and you can resummon it.

So, basically, it's a programmable robot job, fuelled by consumables.

Can you read Japanese? If so, you should know where to go online to verify this info. If you can't, how can you possibly know that the picture posted doesn't list the info he gave? Sounds like you're being speculative just for the sake of arguing. Or you might be taking Taskmages advice from another thread and starting your fishing career.
