Thank you Jei. Any interest I might have had in WoW has been laid to rest. Those people are terrible.

I don't know. But it is a PvP zone so it's not against the game's rule at least
There are painters who transform the sun into a yellow spot,
but there are others who with the help of their art and their intelligence
transform a yellow spot into the sun.

Well, that's the WoW community for you. Although I did grin when someone demonstrated that a warlock is never unarmed... hope they killed at least half a dozen people with that infernal. (Unlikely if the attackers were 60, but we can hope.)

Did you know that Blizzard's official policy is to *encourage* griefing on PvP servers? Their response to this would probably be along the lines of "you should have brought bodyguards to the ceremony".

Meanwhile you can imagine what would have happened if someone tried to MPK a similar event in FFXI (when MPK was even possible). Events like this say a lot about the importance of keeping PvP within defined limits if you want to have a player community worth participating in.

Blizzard doesn't do anything about PVP realms if it comes to griefing. The players had every right to expect an ambush if they rolled pn a PVP server. The funeral could have been held somewhere else, like in the castle in Stormwind or whatever. The only bad thing they really did was ruin a funeral. The manner in which they do it really doesn't matter. If they were Alliance and came in naked, dancing and screaming 'Vida Mardi Gras!', they would have gotten the same type of responses.
