Oh trust me. There's ways of getting there even faster ... just don't know if the ways that were discovered by some players are a bug or ... if they were just enterprising.

Also ... 70% of the time, this race occurs when it's peak leveling outside of Kazham. The lag will automatically kill you by 10 seconds ... so you're already late.

How do you know when the Chocobo races are held?

Rolanberry, its faster to just run straight through the middle, there's not a lot to keep it a fairly straight run (or as straight as it can be). Sauromogue has a few places you can cut corners, but not many. You can cut a fair bit of time off of Meriphataud if you hit the exact right spots and avoid the actual road as much as possible. How is it everywhere else but the Bastok regions have the most jacked up paths to zones? All our stuff is pretty straightforward.

It's cuz they have to cut out the most straight-forward path for you Bastokians. You know, K. I. S. S.?

Same as your connect the dot coloring books, right?

Being faster than others? Not solo I think. Look at the trailer.

                    Re: Chocobo races

We're not talking about the expansion yet.

I need to do one of these for a Bastok Mines Glyph. Stupid Bastok way out in the boonies an extra zone away from any crag or outpost *grumble grumble*

If you can beat the time consistently, this is really a pretty good use of your time. Average of 750 exp in under 20 minutes doing Bastok<->Sandy or 1000 exp in under 30 minutes for going to or from Windy works out to about a little better than 2000 exp/hour. Not bad for solo.

Somepage lists 500-1000 experience for Dragon Chronicles and 500-1500 for Miratete's Memoirs.

                            Re: Chocobo races

Not to forget Kazham->Norg, time should be < 3 minutes for exp scroll; my friend and I lagged a little, so we got there 4 minutes ish, got ticket; I believe reward is Dragon Chronicle.

Yeah, the zoning time is put into the timer too. If you are on WM8-1, do remember the off-chocobo time that the doll is talking is also counted to the timer.

Easiest is to do Sando <-> Bastok, get to the other side in around 19 minutes should get you the exp scroll. I have heard people done Bastok -> Windurst under 30 minutes too.
Not Ninnin on Remora - I made up this name, just didn't know that there is a Ninnin on Remora til after I made this name - Sorry

How does the Kazham > Norg work? Is it just to SSG or do you have to hoof it to Norg?

You dismount the chocobo at the entrance of the cave that leads to the zone.
