World Emigration for non Beta Users?

Is it possible to emigrate if your not a beta user I would really like to play with my friend on another server but I'd hate to start from scratch.

I'm hoping so. I have 2 characters 60+ and I'm hoping to move my secondary one to Pandy so I can play with a friend from work.

I dobut this will happen, but it is a remote possibility, we will only have to wait and see untill the final annoncement

I'm actually pretty sure it will, since with 360 release they're probably going to want to balance the server populations with all the new players coming.

I agree, but isnt it more logicall just to spread out the new commers rather than established members?

Also, are they adding new severs? What will happen to the new Hydra Server?

No cuz then you'd have some servers full of newbies and others with only veterans. Plus, what they did last time is they take applications to move. So let's say you're in a really low population server and want to move to one with a really high population. They won't accept your application. If it's vice-versa though, they'll let you move. When Migrations come around they usually only let people move to certain servers, from certain servers. IE: High population to low.

I guess that makes sense! I jus think it would be very cool to move to a fresh new server being a veteran player!

Yeah, if they opened Hydra up to be emigrated to, it'd be interesting to see what the players do with the economy.

Well I have my doubts that this will happen now. I think that most of the people that will be playing FFXI on the 360 were beta testers. Now they get to immigrate to a world of their choosing thus spreading them out. Now if for some reason we get a large influx of people that didn't play the beta, there may be an immigration for established worlds but I don't see that happening really. I subscribe to a lot of game mags/journals and there just hasn't been a lot of advertising for the 360. The bulk of advertising has been in Japan and, well, we all know how they feel about the 360. LOL This is a definate wait and see thing. A year ago I would have said, and did, that there would be a world immigration but now I'm not so sure.
