It has been slow the past few weeks

Being part of a 6 person static LS, it has been hard to get everyone online to stay at the same level. I rode my home grown chocobo for the first time on Saturday, and got my Bonecrafting skill up to 18, and worked a little more on my fishing.

I need to get around to increasing my fame, but man it is so boring.

Level 75? Less than a month ago.
Cleared all (original) Dynamis (save for Xarcabard, lack of people that day, did a farming run)

I got my Promies done last week, and tonight finally got my Virgo subligar to drop (went about 1/9, over two farming sessions). I can now allow myself to continue leveling Ranger and get 55 and the almighty slugwinder. Plus, my character's sexiness level has just risen about 6 points.

Got to level 58 Red Mage tonight, and I got to wear my Warlock's Tabard for the first time! ^.^ I love it, I don't think I'm going to take it off for months. Now to get my Pimp hat and level sixty and just run around Vana'diel showing off my pretty red armor.

Yeah, so what if a thousand other people have it? It still looks cool and I've been wanting it since I started playing.

Got 55 and 175 Archery/Marksmanship. I haven't breaken any 4 digit numbers with Slugwinder, but I was fighting crabs. I hope to be fighting some bats or something in Aht Urghan this weekend, once I do G2. I'm just so glad to be there, and even if it only did 500-600 dmg, I love seeing that chunk of HP disappear.

My party in Kuftal was also an interesting experience. I came into 1 whm, 2 drg, 1 mnk, and 1 thf. No tanks, but we demolished the VT/IT crabs before anyone could take any damage. It felt like it was my first burn party of some kind. Eventually we got a brd for one of the drgs that left, and we had zero downtime. I stayed in the group for a good 6 hours, so we had a few changes, but the closest thing we had to a tank was a mnk. It was great xp until our thf hit 56, but we were afraid to move. It was no longer that efficient, but it was fun and something new. I also got some nice Barrage dmg with my gun (minuet is beautiful).

It's now 7 AM, and I have class in 4 hours. Curse you FFXI!

With some help from friends, managed to complete SMN AF3 and beat the record for the manticore fight. :D
I don't know what's worse though... the condom hat (WHM) or the SMN horn.

Killed Lumbering Lambert and the Valkurm Emperor within 25 minutes of eachother. And got their respective drops. I was a very happy Taru.

Addendum: Though I probably wouldn't have been able to do the latter without a very kind Paladin that stepped in. Probably someone that was camping that I swiped the Emperor from without really noticing until..well, if you were, I apologize muchly, and thank you for throwing out those heals, even if it meant costing you the NM. I salute you.
