I feel like giving this thread a free bump~ And I'm gonna tell a story just because I have nothing to do til the laundry is done.

On Saturday I went from rank 6 to rank 7 :D Me and another one of my friends (Danry) really wanted to do missions 6-1 and 6-2, so we planned it that afternoon at 1:30. I got on at 1 to start shouting and see who all was in, and a rank 10 74 WAR/NIN (deleveled in Dynamis) wanted to help us out, but he was afk and in Windurst (I was in Jeuno). There were also 2 "maybe" people. One was a 75 BLM/WHM and the other was a 74 NIN/WAR (he deleveled in Dynamis too). Although, the NIN doesn't like to do missions, and he wasn't sure if he was gonna be on.

Well I started shouting and got a 62 THF/NIN, and 65 RDM/BLM. Danry is a 74 WHM/BLM, but this part was really confusing. If the NIN/WAR *and* the WHM/BLM came, we'd have a problem, because the BCNM in 6-2 only allows one party at a time. And we needed someone to sleepga the Yagudo in 6-2.

However, luck was in our favor. The NIN never got on and the BLM/WHM didn't feel like doing a mission that day. That gave us 5, all we needed was a proper sleepga-er. For about 10 mins me and Danry shouted for a BLM, but no luck. Well, the THF said that he got a rank 8 75MNK/WAR to help, and the WAR/NIN was willing to tank, so we all went to Windurst.

The Cardian battle was absolute cake. I went to the ruins as a 64RDM/20SMN and carby pulled one of them. The origonal plan was to sleep that one and wait for the others to despawn, and then kill it. However, the THF had other ideas and attacked the thing. It went down in seconds, and they were all "pull! pull! pull!" so I snagged another. When 2 were left someone got aggro and we just took them down at the same time. Again, cake. Then Darkmyth (the 74 WAR/NIN) lead the way to Full Moon Fountain and we completed the mission.

6-2 was an uncapped BCNM battle against 4 Yagudo, and was supposed to be much harder than the other. Well, that's up for debate. The plan was for me to elemental seal + sleepga the yags and then they pull/kill the SMN first. If they woke up the other RDM would ele seal + sleepga, and then our WHM.

The SMN 2hred just before he died and almost one shotted everyone, but we got him down before his Ifrit could do anymore damage. Then we pulled them in this order: NIN > SAM > WHM. This part of the battle was cake.

I think the hardest part of all was getting up Castle Oztroja. We ended up getting there at different times (some teleported, some warped and took chocobos) so we had this huge debate over what passwords we had and didn't have. And I did not want to risk dying and starting over, so I kept saying we should run past the High Priest and go for the brass door. We all (finally) got to the top and they pulled him anyway, and it was a relatively easy battle. We ran ran ran to the door, I traded a judgment key, and everyone was in.

I had to leave right then so I warped to Whitegate and logged, but came back after dinner and got rank 7 ^^.

Two weeks from now a rank 7 friend of ours will come back from vacation, and we're gonna go for rank 8!

Well i had a busy few days:

I Lvled cooking cooking skill from 40-45
I lvled Smn from 35-39
Whm from 25-30
And ran figure 8's in my MH for 30 min trying to figure out what to do next

Tonight hopefully Rank 5 but we will see

- Recently completed Dynamis Bastok and Jeuno. Getting better at not dying.

Finally cracked down and finished the quest for Crawler's Nest Map. Now i can see where i am going.

I have finally been in a "real" party which consisted of 6 players all from level 10-13 i think. The only other party i had been in was me an this other guy confused in this tower place at around level 7. We pt'd in the dunes and helped to kill my first IT monster(in fact we killed about 3 of 'em). The EXP was awesome although we got over confident and took another IT which ended up with all of us disbanding and running for our lives....i only needed 1 kill TNL(13) and had to quit.(BTW it was also my first time in the dunes...i had a friend "escort" me there from windurst)

I enjoyed the first three Promies. Well, provided that I was doing them with friends. Pick up COP groups? No thanks. But with friends you can just tear through those things with little trouble at all.

My only accomplishment lately was getting Cooking to 30. Half way to my goal now, and I can get back to exp, I guess.

My most recent accomplishment was installing the JP version (last night) and logging into FFXI (JP version) for the first time. I like how everything was on one DVD. Now I just have to get an NA install/license for ToAU...
