2 Weeks?! Dammit i am so far behind the curve... Hopefully i can get from 60 - 90 in a couple weeks then..

Didn't you get to 60 in a couple of days? It gets faster from 70 up.

Yea i started the game on the 7th of this month, but i used to play a few years back so i've had a few levle 75 jobs before. Knowing that 60-70 will take the longest and then it speeds up there is kind of a relief, i think it was like that when i was playing before as well. I'm pleased that its not taking long at all to level but at the same time its discouraging when i see level 65+ people that have yet to get a subjob and are still using level 7 equipment.

I started leveling Corsair. I can't decide if this is an awesome idea or a terrible idea yet.

Depends. Do you enjoy having a job that's never needed? My cor is geared in nearly full af3+2 and a lot of the best macro gear... and yet... without wildfire its useless. Outside abyssea I have options... but with the level restrictions lifted from missions and such... those options are scarce too. Its a really fun job... but don't kid yourself into thinking you'll be asked to play it.

Having access to slug shot/detonator comes in useful for the LS only rarely.

Well, I've already got Red Mage which is fairly superfluous in most of Abyssea and Dragoon which is Just Another DD, so I don't really see how adding Corsair to that spread would really change things much. It is worth noting that I do have a linkshell that does Empyreans on a fairly regular basis, so Armageddon isn't entirely a pipe dream provided I can do some of the NM camping legwork.

Tried out our first FC burn on chigoes after building a little amber light. Took about an hour, but got my WHM shoes (two of them dropped in same chest). Needless to say, that is the best way to farm for shoes. I wish I could thank twice for the suggestion.

You can easily solo or team up with others doing similar trials for everything up to Carabosse. And then if your LS is worth a damn, it shouldn't take more than 2 days for Cara and 2 for Cirein. That's a lot of KI farming, and requires some time, but even if it stretches out a bit longer than that, there's no reason why you need to move beyond the level 85 gun.

The way our LS does it is that we get as many people as possible who want to either leech exp or lot on +2 upgrades together and then we farm up as many pops as the group can hold (either via cleaving, or just directly killing the NMs that give them provided they aren't too annoying), then we just kill, kill, kill, kill, kill.

Second FC run didn't go as well (bats in Vunk hit harder than chigoes). Took a bit to get started, but we managed to pick up SAM shoes and NIN shoes that people wanted.

Made a blog to help kill time at work since the NAZIS I work for told me I can no longer have my laptop at work. So I prioritised killing Briareus over filling out some silly paperwork. I stand by my decision.
