I haven't done a lot on blu outside Abyssea and damage susceptibility in this zone is wierd, so I don't actually know how great this is but it made me smile a devilish smile.



Apparently that guy has less than 10k hp btw.

In other news, SE Apollyon win (cearly), Boxer's Mantle, and shortly after that, Loki's Kaftan! New Idle set go! (Also, new WS set and Whisker set, etc.)

Finished Red Mage seals. Fucking finally. Body seals were like pulling teeth.

Now for the easy part of +2 upgrade items.

It's kind of ridiculous how easy +2s are in comparison.

I have yet to finish seals for any job. Which is frustrating.

Done with Flans on my STR ToM sword... on to Vermin.

Joined up w/ my LS killing Kukulkan. Got a Anguinous belt (+15 Acc/Attk, Double attk +1%) out of it. Thinking that belt might be better than Sentry Belt (+5 STR, +7 Acc) for WS'n. Maybe not GK though... but definitely Dagger and Sword, I think.

Went with them after completing someone's Emp. weapon out to kill Maere... got the atma and the Shadow Belt. Not even sure if the Shadow Belt is worth keeping with all the other WS belt options (see above) out there.

Easily done in a day whiskering chigoe in Attohwa so long as Tunga doesn't cockblock you too much. ^^d

Seriously. If you do vermin any other way, you're doing it wrong.

Also, that reminds me that I really need to finish Manticores so I can move on to Birds and finish the damned Shamshir.

I was going to Burn the chigoes... yet I've never done a burning yet. I've got the gear people have told me to get but not the instruction. Also, do I have to have /RDM?

I managed it without RDM. Won't be as easy, but with the right gear and atmas you should be ok. Ideally, have someone else to pull, tho. And maybe a backup plan.

Chigoe were the first thing I whiskered for serious. They have lower hp and don't hit as hard per hit, so they're good practice. /rdm is very helpful for stoneskin, phalanx and free magic attack bonus. Buff up with protect, stoneskin, phalanx, ice spikes and cocoon. Run in until you start taking hits on your hp, run back out of their spawning area, Sheep Song (Dream Flower has an acc penalty vs vermin), Sound Blast, Enervation, Ascetic's Tonic, Burst Affinity, Charged Whisker, Whirl of Rage. Depending on gear and atmas you can get away with skipping straight from sleep to CW on chigoe, but better safe than sorry while you figure out what you're capable of.

Do what he said, minus anything /RDM specific and you should still mostly be ok. If nothing else, it's a crash course in whiskering. Every BLU needs to do it.

/RDM is recommended so you can throw up PHALANX, STONESKIN, AQUAVEIL, and perhaps others. I havent done much myself, but I will be "apprenticing" my linkshells blu master sometime soon. He usually cleaves off some place in ABY getting us Azure and TE's while we go after the NM's.

I pulled for myself and had some close calls with /rdm and a decent PDT set. If you can get someone else to round them up for you, you can get away with a lot less survival tools. Sound Blast+Dream Flower will give you nearly as much MAB as /rdm.
