Fun stuff. Too bad the KIs wouldn't cooperate. Also got a bit overambitious a few times pulling all three mob families, so I had a lot of weakened downtime to do this:

I really need to work on my whisker setup. Congrats tho! I have damage filtered, so I had no idea what kind of damage you were doing.

On my end, I upgraded my BLU pants, and got to work on the stones for NIN pants +2. Also, I got 5/6 jewels of balance for MNK +2 pants.

I still don't know if I want to pursue a Kannagi or an Almace. Both paths are basically the same at the end. Which will I enjoy more?

Did a mini-WotG sprint over the last few days and managed to get my Moonshade Earring! I chose MP+25 and Latent Effect: Refresh since it seemed to give me the most mileage (I'm on a mage job 90% of the time and I don't have my weapon drawn 90% of the time...)

A couple observations about these missions/quests as a whole (I did the Sandy quests):
- I absolutely LOVED the story... more so than any other FFXI storyline. It's the first story where I actually got attached to some of the characters involved.
- If I didn't have BLM levelled, I don't know if I would have been able to stomach all of the running around.. Retrace/Warp just made everything so convenient.
- Pet jobs (especially SMN and BST) really shine in the battlefields for these fights.

I agree. I'm actually on the second to last fight(hopefully finishing that and the lilith fight tonight). I have been on SMN 90% of the time... and those are the same augments I plan for my earring. I'm going to be pairing it off with my Caller's Earring for maximum awsomeness. It'll also make a good addition to my WHM setup alongside Loquacious. It never hurts to have an additional +1 refresh while I run around curing the crap out of people.

Cleared RDM, WHM, and BLU Maat fights. Would have done SAM and BLM too if I hadn't tried to use meikyo shisui as an item, and I hadn't messed up some timing on BLM Maat. (elemental seal before sleep, elemental seal before sleep). I quasi recovered there, but not before a few smacks and a poisonga ii, which I ignored and wished I hadn't come time for firaga iii and my life was ticking down. Poison killed me at 50% casting. Should be able to finish it next time

Also flubbed PLD, but out of stupidity on my part since I went inforgettig I blew my 2 hour just minutes before in besieged, and I had chugged a STR potion forgetting it had a 15 minute medicated effect while part of my strat was a self sc involving an Icarus wing. Yeah, I be dumb at 5 am.

But RDM WHM and BLU were epic. Well, BLU and RDM anyway. WHM is a bunch of sleeping, hut RDM is king for chainspell>SS>blink>aero3 spam>VE + VE+1>more aero spam. Even set the record at a minute and change. Not as good as the 42 second clear I did once, but still acceptable. And BLU, that was fun forgetting head butt is two words, panicking when it didnt go off, and still managing to pull out a win spamming all the spells I just picked up yesterday (frenetic rip, hysterical barrage, tail slap, spinal cleave). Thought for sure I was dead there too since even after popping VE and VE+1 I still got down to 90~ HP. He did radiant breath and silenced me halfway through, but I recovered with a quick echo drop and the instincts to use it (kind of sad those are still intact aftr all these years) and was pleasantly surprised when he gave up at 30%.

Did a couple of KCNM50, "Last Orc-Shunned Hero", and got Jingang Greaves. Three cheers for 'klink-klink'!

It's probably sad though that I was asked to come on BST and, rather than the potential for money, that which ran through my head was:

"OMG He's asking for my BST! He's REALLY asking for my BST!"

Could see why though. It's a good job for this fight.

Got Dancer to 79 in probably the worst Aby party I've been in since it first came out. It took forever to get rolling.

Nyzul 45 ... still haven't seen any weapons I want/need. I already have DNC from a previous run long ago.

Did my first KSNM99... Horns of War. I bought a orb but didn't end up using it cuz there was nothing that I was interested in. But it was still fun. We got 2-3 people the Black Belt item. I might use my orb on Wyrm... idk. There's not much from the KSNMs that really interest me. I guess I should be interested in pops for Hecatomb armor for my THF... maybe a Ridill, I spose... maybe. Idk... all the drops AH prices drastically tanked so it's not gonna be a big money maker.

Celestial Globe mine... pretty neat looking piece o' furniture. Did the chick-gathering game. My buddies found it amazingly easy and got it on their first try. Took me a few but it was still pretty easy.

Cleared BLM and PLD Maat. BLM was pretty standard affair for anyone who's done it. PLD was actually kind of fun. Went in expecting to pop an Icarus wing and self skill chain power slash > crescent moon > distortion. Well, Maat flashes me, I wait for it to wear, first WS misses. Ok, run around a bit to cancel the wing, wait for tp to build again. WS, and then he bashes me, so no go again. Third time I finally get it off, he flashes me mid tp wing. In say whatever, and the closer still connects. A few more swings, I finally get him down to that magic 20%, and he gives up.

Now to farm up a 4th SAM testimony because he stunned me mid SC on my 3rd attempt and subsequently beat me down. Getting familiar with castle zvahl at least.
