Got 6 out of 8 Orison head seals from Wherwetrice. THF, WHM, BLM and he was a pushover. Traded off spawns with a nice JP group that was there when we got there. {Trade} ??? {Notorious Monster} was the best I could do with auto-translate, but the leader {Understood}. I would have stayed for one more round of pops, but I got "The Look" from my wife. Time for bed.

Serpentes Cuffs from helping someone in the LS get the SAM piece, then I realized I already had the clear colorful demilune abyssite to pop the NM that dropped the booties. So now I have the pair. I'm always looking for extra refresh outside Abyssea, and my WHM was still using Blessed in that slot. 7% haste + 10 MND vs Regen + Refresh and some extra HP? Sure, why not.

I also got the guy who wanted the SAM piece to help me with All by Myself, one of the most annoying escort quests ever... unless you 2box it or get a friend to clear mobs ahead of the NPC. I probably gave it a good two hours last night and didn't get farther than about 60%.

Now I finally have more than one job to bring to the table for PUGs and events. Too bad they're both horribly unnecessary in today's metagame. Oh well, I like 'em.

At least you can be counted on to have a polearm when the WAR who was invited to proc blue doesn't have one.

BLU to 90... now I got a lot of skilling to do(sitting around 300 for sword and blue magic) and a lot of spells to farm. I got a ton o' gear for it too. But now I need to get going on my STR shamshirs... le sigh. It's like SE took away a lot of the grindiness for lvl'n and gave it all to us in the form of ToM.

Mavi head +1. Had to solo Whiro a few times on THF. Wasn't so tough once I figured out how to run the other efts off of me and which atmas worked best(Stronghold, CloaknDagger, Gnarled Horn). Kinda funny coming back and seeing a group looking for him that missed my claim. Easily took me his pop-time and then some to kill him.

Homam corazza got. Yes, it's not the best anymore but I've always wanted it. I like getting the uber-armor for 75 cap. I'm sentimental like that. We zerged Omega. Screw farming for chips, lol.

Good weekend for some basic stuff to get done.
-After like a month of trying to learn "Spinal Cleave" I finally learned the damn spell. I got my ToM ele weapon shamshir (Darksday) to the point where I need to kill 300 undead on darksday/dark weather. I went out to Arrapaggo reef, managed to get Dark weather for almost an entire day, so killing the Qutrub's counted for something other than the lousy 100ish gil and 100ish exp. I dressed up in all the DEX equipment I could, since it appears Shiva server has very little amount of people that will help unless something is in it for them. Even offering gil only intrests people who are unable to help anyhows. I broke the weapon about 5 times on different mobs before one finally used the move, but then finally seeing them use it, I finished the fight off. Also managed a 5500+ damage efflux/chain affinity -Quad contiunum(sp) while killing them.

Feeling pretty good about my luck finally, I decided to go try for a couple other spells I needed. Abyssea got me Magic Hammer, Acrid Scream, and Blazing bound, in just under a ½ hour. Would have been a lot quicker but the frogs where intent on charming me and turning me into a frog. After I learned Blazing bound, I figured since I was in Tahrongi, I would check the zone boss area to see if I could mooch a zone win. There was a group just about ready to pop, and I was able to not only get the zone win, but he used Delta thrust, and I was able to learn that spell as well. It was the fourth zone boss of the weekend, and now puts me up to 6/9. I saw him use the spell, and got a little ahead of myself thinking I could learn it, when the boss was down to ~5% HP it started picking us off one by one. the nin and the war had the RR atma. I did not, but I got lucky and the whm was able to raise me while spamming cures trying to keep the rest of the pt alive. It looked grim, but with us all alive, I managed to pull off a CA/EFF Quad Cont while weakened to finish the boss.

Only need the "sea" spells and 3 others to have all the blu spells available at this point.

Also, got WHM and RDM to 49.

I never got homam gambieras back in the day, so now I need to farm an omega set. I wonder how hard it is to solo NE and NW now with a 90 RDM or BLM with no movement speed gear. ><;

Signed on hoping to get my last two head seals for WHM. The people I would be going with were getting ready to do a Royal Jelly run, so I was gonna do some Mog House cleaning till they finished. The person who needed Ni to drop was one Beastmen Seal short of 40 and out on his level 7 Bard trying to farm one, to no avail. So I volunteered to go in his stead and give him Ni if it dropped. Three runs later we had three scrolls of Utsutsemi: Ni. Gave one to him and split the other two amongst us three.

Then we went to Aby-Attowha and...Orison Cap +1 mine. I think I dozed off in the shower this morning before work, but it was worth it.

Managed to work my multi-box group up to 49 for their subs over the weekend, and cleared genkai 1 after spending all night farming papyrus in Eldieme. The drop rate on those things still feels really low, even with TH2 from my THF. Finally got started on leveling the main jobs (PLD SAM RDM BLU BLM WHM), and I'm spending all my time trying to farm up spells for the BLU, which is an interesting experience because even back in the day I tended to add spells available faster than I was learning them. Nowadays, its even worse as the exp just zooms by. At least its a bit more scenic than grinding out GoV pages.

Yep. Mostly looking to get to 90 and plow through story content and farm abyssea, though word has it I would probably be better off going with Nin War Brd Blu Blm Whm as that would give me more procs. Xp goes so fast anymore though, I'm sure I can switch the composition up without too much trouble.

If by more procs you mean all of them (except for marksmenship, archery, and maybe H2H), then yes, it would give you more.

I just hadn't heard of 6-boxing before.

I think most people who do more than 2 keep to themselves, though I've met another 6 boxer on Ragnarok, and I saw a JP with what looked like they were towing an entire alliance behind them. Its fun from a challenge perspective, but I get the feeling I could go so much faster single boxing.
