Finally got the Atma of the Voracious Violet. Our LS have been sitting on 2-3 pops for a couple of months now waiting for more people to be on together. I also surprisingly lotted well enough to get both the Danzo Sune-ate and the Ocelot Gloves on the first pop.

Epic grats! I got the Danzo... but I'm still waiting on another pop set to get my hands on the Gloves.

Yeah... I had just gotten Homam hands for my THF not too long ago. But Ocelots look better... both stat-wise and visually.... nothing says styling adventurer more than Leopard print, right? I'm so happy about the Danzo feet. I have been so spoiled with my DNC having those T. Crackows and Chocobo Jig. I was always falling behind when running around the zones popping/killing crap with my LS.

A friend and I tore down Devout Radol Ja last night. Took freaking forever since he decided to use Benediction at ~10%. Not the most impressive duo ever, but it was fun.

Unfortunately we got the drop and now I have to figure out to make use of the ugliest hat in the game.

Helped get a few people things they wanted. Owleyes x2, Loki's x1, Ocelot trousers x1, Varangian Helm x1... some other stuff idr.

Got a Kengo Hachimaki (+5 GK, +12acc, +10 Fire, Conserve TP +5), a Tactical Mantle (-15 Attk, Store TP +6 - situational but might be nice to have), and a few new atmas outta the deal though.

I like the oddball NMs they put in Aby-Tahrongi... the concept for for a player to lead a meal to another bigger mob in order to get a the mob to be targetable or even to pop is fun. Also this was the first time I'd encountered Manananggal. A qutrub DRK-THF who is naturally invisible and passive but aggro's Yellow HP. Scared the f'n daylights outta me when it just appeared outta nowhere while I was tanking something else. Want more of that type of craziness. We need more mobs using invisibility, imHo.

For me...today was short... but eventful.

I logged on at around 7:00am and immediately started shouting for a party to farm pops/ki's for Chloris. After about a half hour in Jeuno, I rounded up a team of 8 people, including Meri and Hayde (as usual recently).

We started in Abyssea - T. Canyon and farmed our way up to the tier 2 mobs without much difficulty. At one point I had an unlucky streak and died about 7 or 8 times in a row... lulz were had by all. All I can say to that is THANK GOD FOR Atma of the Appocalypse.

Once we had all the tier 2 pop items, we proceded to go after each of the tier 3's. This is where I really got my chance to shine for the first time in a long time. I wound up procing every one of the 4 Red !!'s.

Ophanim was easy, we popped it and the MNK and I went to town. He got the hint right off the bat for <Darkness>. I tried Blade: Ei and SUCCESS!!! The remaining members all flooded in and it went down hard.

Treble Noctules was equally simple. Besides getting a few adds and having to pull it to a safer location... we managed to get the hint right away again... this time <Wind>. I switched over to daggers and built up TP for Cyclone... no dice. So I swapped to GK and SLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWLY built tp with it, tossed out a Tachi: Jinpu and we killed it.

Hedetet I was worried about... but it didnt wind up using either scissors attack the entier fight. This time the hint was for <Light>. After exhausting all other options... we realized it had to be GK again... awsome. 5 more minutes of letting VV build up my tp and we proc'd... killed and continued.

Chuckwa was a bit of a pain. We tried to go after him first and encountered him being killed by another group. Later I came back to see the same damn thing. Finally after we finished all the other NMs... we came back a 3rd time and noone was killing him (yay!).We waited for about 10 minutes or so and i pleaded with the parties near us to let me claim him... even if it meant giving up any drops to them... since all we needed was the KI. FINALLY he popped and I rushed to the location... only to watch as Meri claimed it right before I got there.

THE HORROR!!!! Not really... but it made the fight a little more complicated. After repremanding Meri (more like lawling in stress) he and I allowed ourselves to be killed so that Chuckwa would go back to white and thus... reset claim on him. I raised up, stuck it with Kurayami and ran off to let the MNK tank it. While I was healing he determined that... yep... <Darkness>. Weakened, I ran back in to drop a few hits on it and get of a Blade: Ei... nothin. At this point I was praying it wasnt going to be Shadow of Darkness... equipped daggers and crossed my fingers. Energy Drain.... PROC!!!

So now I'm 4/4 on the KI for Chloris... but had to leave to head to work. I jotted down the names of the people involved (especially the MNK who helped out a ton) and arranged for us to get together again on Tuesday of next week to finish the job.

I personally like the one I had to fight today... it was one of those little floating head (see: lamp) type guys. Upon defeat it would auto-reraise an indefinate amount of time. I counted it for us... we had to kill the thing 11 times before it was finally dead for good. Thank god we got the drop.

I know the ones you're talking about... the feeding and the invisible one. I actually need to fight Manananggal myself... because he has the potential to drop... I think 4(?) abyssites at once? That's what daddy Yyg likes... efficiency...

Raydeus -- what dropped your Blizzard IV scroll? I need to get me one of those (and Aero IV /sigh)

We fought a Doll NM a few times in Abyssea - Altepa so I could get my last 4 WHM hand seals, but he only wound up dropping two of them (we must have fought him five or six times). Luckily, I got 4 DNC hand seals in the process -- and another LS member got 4 COR seals & one WAR seal.

Likely going back tonight or tomorrow to try to get the other WHM seals... unless we get a party going so I can get DNC at least to 75.

I think Doom Warlocks in Gustav Tunnel in the lower level drop that. Yag Blms in Castle O for Aero IV.

Got another trial done for me staff. Have to decide which path now. Also got my NPC to 56. Feels weird playing so intermittently.

Also, and most importantly, I proved to Yyg that I actually exist.

BLU Lvl 1-27 ... got most of my spells up to about 22 and a few beyond that Lvl. Woulda gotten way further leveling if I hadn't gone for so many spells. BLU spells are, so far, way easier than I'd origninally thought. And BLU is way stronger than I ever woulda thought. But it's my first caster job... maybe they are all like this.

They are not all like that.

In my own BLU news, I got my sexy BLU to 30 yesterday. And I currently have all of the spells up to 32. Today I'm pushing for 40 (and all spells as well). We'll see if I get there!

But it's my first caster job...

BLU is more like a melee job that consumes MP to hit more often. Last time I checked its most worthwhile damage spells were all physical. I doubt that's changed post-75.
