Also: What the heck is it good for? Seems kinda crappy to always have a health drain of 30/tic until you're under 30% just to recieve a 30% Damage- after you're in the red. Can anyone shed some light on exactly what combination of Atma's and gear makes this functional and useful? That and in what wenario does it best fit?

The situations are pretty few and far between. But I wouldn’t say it’s entirely usless. For a solo/low man group of Bst(s). I can see it being pretty good vs the heaviest of heavy Magic using NMs...though theirs a lot of work invovled to become virtually invincible

Let me give this to you slowly:

1: Quest: one of many things you can do for NPCs that appears on a list when you complete them

2: The Gustaberg Tour: a quest that requires six (6) people of level five (5) or less

3: Level 5: requires you have a job that hasn't been leveled past 5. Level sync doesn't go below 10

4: try to find people these days with a job still at level 5 or less, then try again next year and compare

5: Completionism: wanting to do every quest possible

If I don't do this quest, I won't be able to have done all of them. If I were to level all jobs past 5, I would then have to de-level one of them in order to finish this quest. That could become very tedious, depending on what my lowest level job was.

It might be nice to try going for Maat's Cap, since it should be a bit easier these days. But my only non-Maat job that is still below 5 is DNC. DNC is quite a useful job in and of itself, so if I tried to go for Maat's Cap, I then couldn't level DNC and still do this quest without de-leveling. And then I'd still have to find 5 more people with a low-level job, in a top-heavy population.

Got my Xbox back after UPS misplaced it. Re-installed the game (only took 4 1/2 hours). Got a second Orison Leg Seal, and then took my Warrior out to Altepa for a duo.

Got about 12k in an hour and did five pages.

It was my first time playing since the mini-update, and I am very happy with the XP and skill-up improvements.

Dinged 55 on warrior and needed to skill-up axe for Rampage. I was at 165 when I went into QSC, and 52 minutes worth of DC beetles later, I had 175 and Rampage.

Still liking the update.

On my Amber casket farming marathon yesterday, also got a Lore Sabots with Conserve MP+4, hMP+3, Spell Interruption Rate down 7%. It's not Diamond Ring+3 INT, but it's better than what I expected out of the Lore augments and am going to hold onto it.

I went to explore the labrynth of O just to see what it looked like and if it was safe for me there. I managed to go 1/1 on Mysticmaker Profblix for my moldy earring. I did intend to camp him for it just not quite then. I normally come to test the water to see how best to approach solo'ing it.
Was very undignified for a bst solo. I ran in with Chopsuey chucky and mandibular bite -> Rampage -> Icarus wing -> Rampage and then I had my new MAB earring lol.
Normally I would prep alot better beforehand and I normally wouldnt use an Icarus wing so freely.
So now I have a shiny new item for my mage jobs and an annoying medicated effect.
