Good luck Callisto. Hope RL works out for you. I'm finding that as long as I have something to do, I have no inclination to get back into FFxi. I have been logging on only to talk to the damn Anni-moogle to say "wait" on getting a prize, and found that I'd missed the oppurtunity altogether last night. Totally thought it was going til the end of May, oh well.

Yeah, like I said I know I'll be jonesing hard to start, but it helps that I physically do not have enough cash to keep my account if I wanted to. Well, at least it helps the quitting end, it doesn't help pretty much every other facet of life at the moment, lol.

I had retired due to my last deployment, so I couldn't physically play either, but a few months after my return somehow my debit card number found its way into SE's hands. /shakefist

Went 1/1 on Lord of Onzozo for Octave Club and also picked up an assault jerkin for the wife while we were there.

Did my first MMM runs last night, was pretty fun all-in-all, we only didn't clear once, and xp was pretty decent. I wish the wiki had a better explanation on what/how to complete floors, thank god someone else was running the show. We did about 10-15k/hour, quite a change from other camps. And we got to sync my lvl 38 war which was nice in getting me closer to subjob range.

I'd much rather try and get into MMM sometime than continue lvl'n Thf in the traditional ways (campaign, lfp...). I've only ever heard that it's fun and rewarding. I agree the wiki on it is fairly confusing to me as well.

The gist of it seems to be this: Warp to MMM zone, in my case it was Everbloom Hollow, there are different 'floors' of mobs (I don't know the difference between the different mazes), the mobs check EM/DC to the lowest person there, at that point, you get the most exp by completing the maze under level sync of that lowest person.

Like Einherjar, you can get stuck with some toughass mobs which make it hard to clear in a reasonable time. This is where you have to drop sync, take an xp hit, clear out the harder mobs, then re-sync and clear out the 'easier' mobs. I guess there's a strategy to it, and you can do the runs once per person in the party. Pretty fun I guess, I still have a lot to learn.

That's not how I expected MMM XP parties to work ... I figured people would use runes for somewhat stronger mobs and I think I heard something about limiting the mobs to imps too...

Blue Mage from 21 to 24. One more level and I'll call it quits for good.

Though, what makes this worth posting before then is this: Adventuring Fellow from 33 to 34. Ugh, even getting her a single level took for-freaking-ever, I swear! I don't even remember the last time I saw her level up. Using up my Tactics Pearl and getting a new one certainly helped, I'm sure.
