We're just a small social shell. This wasn't a planned 'event'; we don't do events. It wouldn't have happened if I hadn't gone out there to get ToD (we were going to try to duo or trio). However, if you're looking for a small social shell, you can always send me a PM or shoot a /tell my way in-game.

Low-manned Dynamis-Sandy with 15-17 people (afk pending) and along the way ... I lost count but... we got over 18 pieces of relic gear (3Whm, 3Pld... only missing Blu I heard), several relic weapons, and 3 100 pc's. Why the F that doesn't happen to our Xarc runs... I'll never know. Some of the gear people needed/wanted but ... not like we want our Xarc crap.

Nope... not full... waxing round 60-70%. I've been on runs in the 20's that have yielded more than one's on actual full moons but this one was ridiculous. I believe in the full moon thing too but it's just sooooooo /random.

Was it a full moon when you did you run? I was waiting 6 months for my sam relic kote to drop and never saw it, then one full moon we got 4 drop in 1 run with a similar amount of Relic as you experienced. We didnt do as well with the 100s, but its like most drops just random

I wouldn't be surprised. I've been told NMs have better drops/drop rates on a full moon/dark/light day (specifically BCNMS maybe). To test this once, I did 3 Royal Jelly runs on a full moon light day and got the worst drops I've ever seen. So, it didn't work out so much. There have been times where I've seen 3 NIs in a row or NI and Archer's same time. But those three runs had 10K or less in drops each.

had a few succesful Astral Flow burns last night, 72-74 in a couple hours^^

also learned that when you do a AF Burn alliance, BOTH teams need to be synced when you start. other team didn't have sync on right away and turned a 50k+ pull into an 18k pull >.>

With the aid of alot of eva-gear I solo'd some GK skills in the Boyahda Tree and got up to 251. Tachi of Trials you are mine now.

Failed to complete COP last night due to dodgey connection on one of my teams part so took my blue mage to sea with a couple of ls ppl and went 1/1 on all sea spells tried disserevement a few days before and failed so think i went 1/4 overall, but great spell hunting session very lucky imo.

Last night our Linkshell did Cop 2-5 Ancient vows and owned the mammets. Yellow liquid is so overated and not needed. Allthough we did play extremely safe.

3 Pld 1 Bst all /dnc and 2 whm.

Yeeeeeah. Back then there was no /DNC. Also have you seen what happens to a NIN tank when they enter sword mode? They get fucked, and not tenderly. And getting 3 NINs was far easier than getting 3 PLDs back in the pre-level sync days. How many people have PLD capped as a sub + 3 levels?

Congrats though, the fight is a pain in the rear to a lot of people.

Yeah kudos.. that fight was the thing that divided our static. I tried in several p/u parties in order to catch up. Armando's right with that sword mode bit. Hell, most modes could be dangerous if you were with morons. Oh it's BLM - does nobody have silence? Crap... that Drg mode just one shotted the tank .. WTF!!! Okay... who the hell locked him into Sword mode, OMG/cry. I finally got thru on a "dry run" with a couple Bsts, a Pup, Dnc(me) and I don't remember what else. We were all surprised it was so ez since we were all experienced in fail-sauce attempts by that time. Congrats.

The win we eventually gained was just an idea we came up with, We'd been in many times before that and got owned. We had originally tried the traditional strategies ginen on the wiki and had varying results in regards to progress bet each time we were owned.

I'm glad I'm past it but I have enjoyed every run we've had. I'd be glad to go again.

Yeah, the Wiki is likely outdated as fuck for a lot of CoP mission strategy. It seems to me that the bulk of the strategies pop up shortly after the missions are available and then people stop bothering to add new strategies or info.

Not to toot my own horn but I had to add a lot of important info after fighting Omega/Ultima myself. And of course I had to find out that info the hard way (such as the fact that Omega can Counter if you fight it from the front. Really freaking important on a mob that hits for 200 damage and swings fast to boot.)

I've never really had much problem with anything other than Sword mode. Sword mode swings waaaaay too fast and they're not just love taps either. Staff form obviously poses some risk but you're mostly safe against it thanks to Silence.

Huh, so there's this FFXI thing I haven't been on for about a month now, how intriguing. As far as I can see as well, my next post to this thread is likely to be buffalo-related, considering that I have better things to do in my life than the farming that inevitably awaits me upon my return.
