I got Blu to 70 a little bit ago, so I decided that I really had to do something about my lvl 26 Dnc subjob for campaign stuff. I ground Dnc to 30 today (Thank you anniversary ring!) and damn, but Curing Waltz II is awesome. Not using WS or CA is a small price to pay for almost complete self sustainability.

Got Bonecraft Filing key item, started on Fletching. Once that's done I'll have all 10k or less guild points key items, plus one 40k (Gold Purification).

Last night I got in my first Assault runs on pick-ups. The first one was an escort mission which took two tries to get right (the NPC was a real jerk and kept running away). Then I ended up doing a couple of Nyzuls. My first Nyzul was a 96-100 run. >.< Yeah, it ended up with wipes, starting with when I went around a corner to join my sub-group and got hit with a Sleepga in the face. Yeah, thanks guys, for telling me NOW that Poison Potions would be a good idea. Then got a 1-5 pickup group which didn't do well, but we got through 3 before bailing (with "success"), except for one jerk who stood around with low health for about 2 minutes, then fireflied out. So I ended up with 10/25 mercenary points. I want PFC so I can get one of those all-jobs throwing wheels.

Someone was shouting for a CoP 3-5 pick-up group, but getting mercenary points was more important to me at the time. Then in the morning during besieged, he makes a shout for it again. After besieged ended, I get in his group, and we get Diabolos on the second try. Someone FRAPSed it, and says he will upload it to Youtube eventually. The leader mentioned that he wants to try 4-2 in the evening, but I have a possible chance at a Windurst 9-2 run tonight, so I wasn't in much of a hurry.

Then I go back to WG and someone is shouting for a 4-2 pickup group. But not any 4-2 pickup group, a 6xBLM burn group. I made a point of asking if we needed mistmelts or not, and the response was basically "we'll sleep/nuke him so fast it won't matter". So we get out there and find out that... Ouryu doesn't sleep very long when he's flying. As in almost no time at all. But on our third try, we were doing pretty good on him trying Binds and Stuns, and someone said to Manafont, so we did, and launched a third round of Freeze, and WIN. With no mistmelts. It's more fun to do something the "wrong" way and succeed.

Dynamis Sandoria win on the second try, our puller did bring back about 20 mobs in a long line all at once which was a bit of a disaster, full 236 people wiped cept for the one coward samurai who ran off and hid. The shout take down what you can musnt have appeared on his screen. but other than that got killed a few times by MNK 2 hr which stings a bit.

Didnt get any of the relic I need but we got about 5 pieces dropped Whm Rdm Cor War i think it was. also got 245 bronze and 1 silver currency so the currency split gonna be nice for this run. Made 100k from dynamis so far just turning up and hitting stuff.

Go to West Sarutabaruta [s]. I went from 50 to 53 in the space of a few hours there by Pat, Frank, and Drafty.

Edit > Oi Firewind, you could try fighting (read melee/nuke) a FoV for a buffer killing EP and then go to Gustav (although I'm glad I waited for Aquilo's before moving there.)

If you have your npc you can easily team up with it to make around 4k at least in an hour (BLM/NIN with dual wands and Shield NPC.) Altepa is a pretty good place doing the Beetle (aspirable) + ants regime.

Black Mage back up to 50 with a buffer
Ouryu Fight win! On a dry run too. PLD/NIN, DRG/NIN and BLM/SCHx4 mopped the floor with it.

You just reminded me, Page 5 in West Altepa is actually my favourite way of getting my buffer back on WHM. The mobs con the lowest possible EP for a 75 so not only do they count to your page but you don't even need to buff to kill the Ants and you get to keep all of the K Seals for yourself . It's even better than Terrigan since you get to kill the Manticores and Dhalmels or camp Dune Widow while you wait for the next game day.

Got my mule signed up with Cobra Unit. Level 1 all the way from Jeuno, including FKN map quest. No oils, no powders, no aggro. After that I wanted to try the Bastok leg, so I did a Streetsweeper for notes, warped to Pashhow, then ran into a quad halfway to the maw. So it goes.

So apparently the new hawtness for a mule is to grind some FoV, then HP in Jeuno. 50 tabs to get home, D0 to get to Jeuno. Re-grind FoV at home as necessary. If you manage to reach 20, bring some wildgrass with you.

Also, I found out that my mule, which is just under 4 weeks old, was able to buy Bonanza Marbles after all. So either the "45 days" thing is wrong, or I've had the mule a month longer than I thought. Now I've got 30 chances total.

It's derived from the song Break Blossom by As Tall As Lions, which I had stuck in my head today and ties in neatly with getting the exploding flower WS last weekend. It's very pretty btw.

New unaccomplishment: spent ~2 hours making skillchains in the tree trying to unlock Atonement before I remembered that I NEVER FLAGGED THE QUEST >_<;;; ._.
