Yesterday spent my entire time in XI watching WotG cutscenes and doing quests. Just need to beat the Jeuno fight to get my new flag (hopefully tonight.)

Two hours each day for the last four days I made 500k from farming in the Sauromugue Champaign.

Thanks. I got it off a 6 try chest so now I can stop being paranoid about rare goodies perhaps only dropping on 4 try chests. Now if only Xarcabard would hurry up and cough up the gauntlets...

Unaccomplishment: so I log in Firesday of my RSE week this morning in Ordelle's Caves, talk a bit with one of my JP friends whom I haven't seen in a while (he remarked that I was up early . . . yeah, I know), and start chest hunting. Okay, so the two rooms with holes in them don't have the chests, I guess I have to drop down - whoops, wrong hole, please go back and try again before this Malboro aggroes you (you don't have a lot of time online anyway). Luckily, with the Sprinter's Shoes Kupower, that wasn't much of an issue - landing right on top of a Malboro right after falling through the hole I wanted to go through was. I end up wasting my Reraise there.

Anyway, I get up, make it to and through the beetle room mostly unscathed - except for this Slime and Beetle that decided to tag along halfway through to the Stalactite Dew room. I decide to Sentinel off their attacks and see if a chest was there anyway - remember I don't exactly have time to fight these things - and by the time I get there I see, lo and behold another Tarutaru male that was there before me (even had the same hair; was a 30-ish RDM). He pulls the Beetle off me, but by that time I had decided that it wasn't worth the effort any more, and I just let the Slime kill me so I can HP to Jeuno and shut down.

Ah, well, maybe next time. Tarutaru needs a new pair of shoes!

Moldavite Earring.

I really don't like camping timed-spawn NMs, or yet another -1 Inventory item, but in the solo pet camps, a moldy can make all the difference between a one-shot and getting raep tiem from a pet with 8hp left.

Took three tries. First try someone else was there, and apparently needed it (and said "drop" afterward, so presumably got it), so I waited the 2 hours and he popped again at the end of the window half an hour later. No drop. Well, ok, Thunder III, whoopee. I look at the clock, half past midnight for the next window? Whatever, I park at the entrance to the zone and go back to reading some intarwebs.

When I see the time is up, I run back in, see him, and drop Flash on him, because I don't want to see some 75THF kill him for farming. Yeah, this time he popped at the beginning of the window. Apparently someone was indeed about to go for him, but hey, I knew the ToD, so I was expecting him. And he did drop the stupid earring. With a Burst scroll, too.

Then I went and found a 54BLM to give the Burst scroll to, because 6k just ain't worth the trip to Jeuno to sell it, and I felt a little guilty for flashing the gobby and wanted to give something to somebody. (But then again, I only knew to flash the gobbie because someone had done it to me before.)

Also, BLM60 earlier today. I burned an Empress Ring charge and two Anniversary Ring charges in less than an hour each. And it was my last Empress charge, but I didn't feel like more goblin pet bats after I got it recharged. I had to trudge through DCs to 60 in Saruta_S because a SMN was using the Newton camp.

Managed to finish COP 2-3 tonight after a friend spent 3 hours looking for a team to do it with for me.

In the end we owned the Minotaur with NIN/WAR THF/NIN BLM/WHM WHM/SCH SAM/THF no items used.
