I didn't notice until after I got it that it was actually All Jobs and not PLD only, which makes room for some RDM/PLD lulz...but +50 damage, doesn't seem that it adds extra hate further than what the extra damage gives, but with Valor Gauntlets I'm up to 72~ damage which is a pretty decent chunk, I think I'm going to splurge on a Knightly Earring as soon as one goes on sale to pump it up a tad bit more.

But Shield Bash is supposed to give the same hate regardless of damage...so besides the Banish enhancement it's just extra damage.

Thanks for the info, I'd been wondering about that ring for a while.

Got BLM to 58 yesterday. And now it looks like time to give BLM a rest, while I find a Flood scroll (curse the low drop rate, and the price has been going up lately), and get the next AF out of Davoi. I'll probably give a try at the Sapphire Quadavs with WHM/THF. But I wanted 56 for Sleepga II, Retrace, and Stoneskin, so I did all right. Getting the Wizard's Coat isn't going to be fun either, since WHM/NIN can't solo that thing.

So I'll probably start farming a bit, working on guild points (17k/40k toward Gold Purification), THF towards 45, and RDM towards 41.

Also I got a bit more Leathercraft skill by grinding some Cuirboulli, for which I had to farm for the beeswax. It also used up most of the Ram Leather that I got last week, clearing out inventory space for more farming. Looks like I'll need to farm some Wool Thread so that I can spam Ram Mantles next.

EDIT: oh yeah, and I was getting multilple solo chain 5 on the gobbie bat in Pso'Xja. And I'm down another 100k, from my peak of 2M to 1.2M. I really don't want to blow most of the last 200k on a single spell scroll if I can help it.

Did my first Assault....We lost but had many lawls over Teamspeak lol. We might try Nyzul tonight, I still need my mythic WS ; ;. also, almost up to 1MIL gil for the 2nd time in a long arse time.

Did my first Assault....We lost but had many lawls over Teamspeak lol. We might try Nyzul tonight, I still need my mythic WS ; ;. also, almost up to 1MIL gil for the 2nd time in a long arse time.

DRG does that sometimes. We killed the second one so fast one time that we still had the first Deed in the pool, and had two deeds in the treasure pool. Was funny stuff.

Someone then posted it in the BG drop thread (this was a while back) and of course, someone believed that we got two off the same Ix'Aern. lol.

Hmm, nothing new FFXI wise to report. Taking a bit of a break from it, at least until CK and I hit 60 in WoW, which is when we can break off a bit and take our time leveling. Right now it's just grind grind grind, but I am having a lot of fun and a lot of my friends from Excellence are in the guild.

I wouldn't tread much further if I were you. Once you hit 60+, WoW kidnaps your soul and forces you to raid for all of eternity.

Ordelle Chest Key, Paladin 34, and played around with Banish II a bit. It looks nice, but the MP cost is obscene. This makes me one level from Auto-Refresh and Cover. As for the key, I'm basically ready for my RSE week there this Thursday.

Also, I may have accidentally convinced one of my linkshell's Red Mages to level /PLD as well. XD

Anyway, I basically don't have any reason to be in-game until Thursday, I'll send you a /tell after I get my Kaftan if you're on then: the more people there are the faster those Beetles die, which is good for doing the quest multiple times in the period of a handful of hours.

It was great for the times when I just wanted to be alone but whenever I had to go anywhere were people gathered, I wanted to dig my eyes out with a spoon at the stupidity and immaturity of the community.

Those days have long been over for me. I gave my account to my godson to make sure I didn't venture forth into that pit hole of a game. It was great for the times when I just wanted to be alone but whenever I had to go anywhere were people gathered, I wanted to dig my eyes out with a spoon at the stupidity and immaturity of the community.

Yeah I expect it to be a side pastime for me. Something I'll do while camping Fafnir or something (28 afk minutes in FFXI ... orz), and as for raiding and community stuff, that's why I joined the guild with the people from my linkshell, so I can be assured that I'll mostly be around people who are competent. Granted, there's always pick up groups, and they suck balls, but pick ups piss me off in FFXI too so I don't expect that to be too big of a problem.

I did notice that the trade channel is often filled with retardation as much as Whitegate, so it felt like home. XD
