Other than that the only thing I'd like to see is SE changing Homam so RDM can use it, but the chances of that happening are the same as those of me winning the Mog bonanza.
Helped a buddy get his Carbuncle Mitts and on the way got a Unlit Lantern for the ZM I'm currently on and our party also procured a Thief's Knife which the guy that needed the C.Mitts bought from the group. So ... that was a slightly profitable run. 10k +
Was gonna get some CS's done for CoP but was begged into being a Lvl 37 Synch for a E.Ron(S) "Bird" party by a LS buddy... so Thf40 now. The original job I started with.

acActually it was easy, since I after I capped exp and got shield to 270 from that. Hard part was the last 6, 270-275.1 were all from tanking several dark ixions @_@ Last .9 came from a meripo ;x final skill up, off 3 mobs ~.~ 2 cobliri, 1 we were fighting, 1 that popped and link on the puller for the first one and 1 wivre i accidently voked when i was trying to voke the other colibri. @_@ Wivres hit hard ; ;
Unfortunately actually leveling PLD had left mine kinda gimped due to Level Sync/Campaign, I had to spend 4-5 days with Steelshells and Pucks @ DoR, the Pucks actually hit like sacks of bricks.

Well, I'm dumb. After fretting over the slow trickle of income and the fluctuating prices for weeks, I finally remembered hey, I have all these Allied Notes I'm not using for squat. So, a dozen or so Fourth Division Cuisses later, I finally got Utsusemi: Ni, with enough to spare to start rebuilding toward other nebulous expenses I've yet to identify.
Ellipses on Fenrir There is no rush. If you're not willing to take your time, don't be surprised when no one wants to give you much of theirs.

Got to NIN 22 last night on my LS's weekly "level a random job" event (yay Cure II on /WHM) and got 900tnl before getting too sleepy to continue. A BLU22 can basically mow down Bull Dhalmels.

How does this work exactly? On my server they're worth 5-7k gil. I've tried selling Cobra Tunicas, worth about the same gil, but it's slow thanks to them being Rare, and is basically a pain in the butt. Plus, I actually use CT for leveling lowbie jobs since it's some of the best gimp gear you can get. I'm about to ding 250k AN and it's really annoying that it's so hard to convert AN to gil. IS is easy, just get a stack or two of silvers and idle in front of the warp taru, and it turns every Besieged into an easy 10k+ gil. I guess I could stack a few CT in my mule's inbox or something, but that's still only 5-7k each, and I have to run between the Sigil NPC and a delivery NPC for each one. (that would be much easier if I had high enough BLM for Retrace, then just warp back and forth to Mhaura or Selbina)

I NPC'ed them. Fourth Div. Cuisses cost 7000 AN and are worth 6120 gil at the goblin NPC right by the mog house in Bastok (S). I actually bought one of everything I could (I'm up to Stars) to find the best gil/AN return The AN stuff has better returns at the AH, of course, but I wanted my damn scroll now, and my slots were full anyway.
Edit: Windurst's AN items don't seem to have anything with that kind of gil/AN return for NPC prices. The Iron Ram Shield is 4500 AN for foreigners and sells for 4080~4161 gil according to the wiki, which is about the same return I got for Cuisses being a Bastok native.
Not an FFXI one but, something i've finally glad to do, beat FF8, obtain all the weapons, got all the GFs except Pandemona, most importantly, finally gotten passed that stupid adel fight where i kept loosing on my first and second original saves.
~.~ Now I need something to pass time with until khim pops, lol.
Got the Sand Charm to drop for the Oubilette map. The first time pirates hit, I was WHM/BLM and got no drop. Then I went off to do a Besieged and use up an Empress Ring charge, and finally went back to camping the ferry again.
Since there's really no point in warping off if there's not going to be a pirate attack (both ferries go at the same time, and you still have to wait for the next run), I switched to WHM/THF for TH1. Then I groggily checked things from time to time and suddenly I saw a Crossbones! There was someone else fighting too, but those things respawn fast enough that the competition was no problem. I got the drop just before the attack ended.

I tried to make a list of the conversion rates once, then my eyes bugged out at the 5x-7x multiplier from selling Cobra Tunics on the AH (slowly) and I never tried looking at any of the other nations. And FYI, it looks like if you want to make the trek, Iron Ram Shield is about 0.90x from the numbers you gave, while you were getting 0.87x for the cuisses.
It's still nothing like the 8x-10x conversion rate for IS in the current economy.
