Guss not playing for a week is an accomplishment. Havent been stressed out, or angry because of the stupidity which is my LS. Bet theyre pissed i missed last few events, meh.

Had a great dynamis run.... 14 af2, 10 wootz, and 816 currency!!! FIVE hundred pieces.... People were hooting and hollering ....one of the more lively runs in a while. LOL

Well, I think I'm getting back into the groove of things with FFXI. DNC had gotten me a little bored with the game, but then, having a stack of awesome Shin Megami Tensei games to play through probably wasn't helping my FFXI experience. Those SMT games command your full attention, I've found.

Just recently decided DNC wasn't for me, at least not as a main job. Lack of invites weren't so much a problem, that I can deal with, it was just that it soloed too slow for my liking in the long run.

Went out and did a merit PT today on COR, got 3 LPs in relatively short time with a pretty great PT. Decided I'm gonna focus on rounding out Kitten's RNG merits and Foobar's SCH merits before picking up any new jobs or finishing others to 75. I figure this will also allow me time to work on THF and BST gear for the journey ahead on those jobs.

I think that may be for the best, too. THF and BST will help me rake in the gil a little more, especially solo. BST has always been good to me moneywise.

Also took THF from 17 to 24 this weekend, and tried WHM/THF in Besieged, which is when I got those club skill-ups. WHM/THF seems to work okay there, and it's nice to actually get a decent hit in every now and then.

Got about 60 levels of skill (20 wind, 35 string, 5 singing roughly) by spamming Threnody on goldfish in sea, and it took me about 30 minutes total. That shit is broken as hell but I'll take it. (I mean seriously, I get skill even if the spell resists? Really?)

With skill capabilities like that, I'll level sync Bard all the way to 75.

19!? If I care to go to Campaign, I might get one or two! WHM isn't exactly people's first choice for merits ... maybe I should level something people would want to merit with, but none really interest me except COR...

Hit 70 on THF finally this past weekend. Also got my Testimony to go fight Maat and tried to go on my first Dynamis run. I say tried because it got canceled due to too few members.

I thought all magic skillups worked that way? I remember back when I was leveling Rdm, I'd still get a skillup even if Blind/Paralyze/Whatever were fully resisted.

Hmmm...

So how does melee skill work with 'em? I dunno if I could skillup some of my weapons while keeping my wyvern alive, but it's worth a try.

Well the point with the goldfish is that if you use a non-damaging spell, they don't attack you. So you can para, slow, elegy, threnody to your heart's content and never have to worry about dying. Also the skill ups are mad fast so its like icing on the cake. If you'd want to skill up a weapon, then that would be totally different.
