After taking an interest on THF I was farming some gil to buy me a emperor hairpin. When I was on my way to farm some more, someone on my LS gets the claim and drop on VE... that motivated me to get out there and try to get the drop as well, spent around 3 hours there with no luck, eventually went to bed. When I woke up I looked at the screen, a Damselfly... strolling about happily, I put an axe to the thing and went to make breakfast.

When I came back... VE was there, I take a bite on my bagel.

I axed it aswell, and ate my bagel in 5 seconds.

Just got my new casual on the side character to 19 and unlocked subjobs, whoo lol.

Now to go get ym mnk to 52 (like my main), war to 37 (like main),rajas (like main, brown belt (like main), completed teleport links (like main)... I could go on lol.

Right now SAM is just a sub for my WAR. I'm having a lot of fun with it, though, so I may just level it in the near future. Meditate kicks ass.

As it stands now, my "order" is SAM to 37, then SCH to 37 (get the WORST fucking parties on SCH), then toss a coin and either level WAR or BLM, because I like both and I can't seem to decide.

Then maybe play DRK or SAM when I finish either WAR or BLM.

Indecisiveness sucks.

Oh do i know the feeling Aks. As of last night, Thf75,Drg60,Pld61,Mnk54(soloed from 42),Nin41,Cor40, and now Sam is on its way from 39 to possibly 75, that or mnk.
When i log in i usually get alot of crap from my LS to decide a job, but isnt the point of 11 to choose what i want, when i want? If im not being a th4 whore, im usually not doing anything else. I'm not too fond of mage classes, but sooner or later im going have to level blu/dnc/whm as subs also.
Oh accomplishments? Er... Assasins Armlets go! also... Anyone have any issues with ToAu mission 35(gessho fight)?

I finally gave my Chocobo egg to the stables........ After carrying it for like 2 months......... I pray its a cute black one
And got 31 on NIN I love nin too bad I gotta lvl it again......... oh well.

Oh hum, just beat CoP 6-4, no big deal really

It was totally awesome!!!!

I log on, get ready, seems one of our members either forgot to do the CS for 6-2/3, or just didn't have time to do them, so we're waiting on him for a bit. While we're waiting on that person to do the CS, we have our strategy talk about what we're gonna do (and of course we make sure the other person gets all that)

Our party setup was: Taiyonomahou (Pld/war), Whaods (Dnc/nin), Sassymithra (Nin/war), Canti (Mnk/nin), Firecloud (Whm/blm), ME! (Drg/nin)

Our plan initially was to do two dry runs, one for the mammets and then one for Omega, but it's decided to skip the second dry run because the mammets require us to use meds and yellow liquids, and it's potentially enough of them that people don't really want to dump all of that just on a dry run.

Our party setup was: Taiyonomahou (Pld/war), Whaods (Dnc/nin), Sassymithra (Nin/war), Canti (Mnk/nin), Firecloud (Whm/blm), ME! (Drg/nin)

Taiyonomahou, our beloved and noble leader who is just "winging" his plans for the CoP fights >.> had requested that all melee go /nin to avoid AoEs from Omega/Ultima.

First dry run vs mammets doesn't go that well. We were winning even with no items, but then Whaods got killed by his mammet, which attacked me, then those two went off and killed Canti and it just kinda snowballed from there with all the mammets at about 5% health.

It's decided to skip the second dry run since the mammets can chew up a number of Hi-Potions depending on how many of them start off in mage form or not. We decide that if anyone gets killed on the mammets, we abort the run.

2nd try, Whaods goes down towards the end of the mammet fight. 3 of the mammets switched to mage form and cast tier II ~ga spells, and he got caught in the middle of all three. We decide to continue on and fight Omega while Whaods waits for raise sickness to wear off. The fight with Omega goes fairly well until we get him down to about 1/3 or less hp, which is also about the time Whaods' raise sickness wears off, before he goes Homing Missile/Hyper Pulse happy and by chance takes out Firecloud, the rest of us fall not terribly long after. We get up, wait for raise sickness to wear off, and tackle him again. Things go well until we get him down to pretty low hp, where just bad luck keeps making him paralyze and stun Taiyonomahou, preventing Tai from getting off any abilities, spells, or items. Tai falls, Firecloud at this point has alot more hate than Sassymithra can get off of him, and we all get killed. Raise up again, wait for raise sickness to wear, and take out Omega, who we find out had under 300hp before he got us.

We get through the CS and face Ultima, with 6:50 on the clock. We figure that this is too little time, so it's not worth it using our remaining CCB Polymers on Ultima, but we plan to do our best. We get Ultima down to about 1/3-1/4 health before we run out of time. Right before we time out though, Ultima uses Equalizer 3 times practically back to back, killing 3 of us.

By this time, it's getting kinda late, but we're willing to give it another go if we can get our two hours back. Since we started late, I don't have the time to wait 2 hours + 45 minutes in the fight, so we go looking for a Corsair to recharge our two hours. Two people from the LS come out to try, both unfortunatly don't get the number we need. We toss out one last final yell for a Corsair in Tavnazia Safehold, and we get a response! Not only that, but she is able to recharge our two hours to boot!

We replace what meds and items we need to replace, since we used 3 of our CCBs and a few Icarus Wings earlier, and Sassymithra changes to Drg/nin as well because we decide that we want another DD instead of another tank. And don't get me wrong, Sassy is a fine tank, but she'd have to be working at tanking during the fight in order to be ahead of Firecloud if something happened to Tai, and it's just kinda risky since we don't want to get hit by Rear Lasers or anything like that.

So we go in, all psyched up and for some of us, like Canti who is on either Central or Eastern time, I forget which but I think Central, on a sleep deprivation high, and go back in. Mammets go well until the end, where Whaods gets killed again. We continue on and have Whaods rest while we fight Omega. We save the Polymers this time until after Omega kills us, because we know that we can get him down to about 1/3 health without them, so we want to save them for after, which is what we do. Omega wipes us at 1/3 health, we raise and rest up, and finish him off.

We go into the Ultima fight with about, 10 minutes to go I think. At this point I'm pretty tired, and can't remember too clearly what happened, but the fight goes fairly well until towards the end where Ultima manages to kill 2-3 of us due to Antimatter spammage, I forget who, when we have him down to about 1% health, but we manage to kill him with about 1:30 to spare on the time.




All and all, it was a really fun fight, and even though we had some trouble with it, I'd say it wasn't that difficult of a fight. Counting the dry run it only took us 3 tries to get through it, and while I might be tempted to call the second run a dry run as well (I wanna be able to say that we beat them all on the first serious try so badly!) this is a fight where I'm happy saying that our first time win streak was broken.

And it's like, we beat 6-4! I'm one of the maybe not so few people to have done that on my server, but it's not a whole lot of people who even have beaten the Promies and have Tavnazia access here either. To have gotten through what I hear is the hardest mission fight in the game, I'm just totally psyched about it And while I'm sure the fight with Tenzen isn't going to be a cakewalk, I'm not so worried about it with this group and the only hard thing left sounds like 8-3.

Congratulations Vyuru! Im slowly moving up the CoP missions. Stuck on Promy-Vahlz atm. But sounds like your making great progress! keep it up. also, you happen to be on Unicorn?

Cadox, under most people's avatars is a link FFXI Character Info. You can usually find out what server a person is on there. Vyuru is on Alexander. ^^

Solo'd Chimera 13 (toau 22 or 23) and contaminated colloseum this evening got 60K worth of drops from it too. (only 240K to go until my last HQ staff apollo)
