So, perhaps a lame accomplishment to many of you, but it signaled a turning point for me with FFXI, so it's kind of important, and worth mentioning in my opinion if no one else's. :3

Since my return in January (after a break to deal with some RL stuff that needed dealing with), I've been kind of adrift. I've been uncertain if I have a place in the game anymore (my LS changed, changed again, then the folks that I liked and respected moved to a new shell that I didn't meet the requirements of) and unsure if it was worth it to put the necessary effort in to catch up. RDM, the job I love was on the sidelines, because I'd given back a lot of borrowed gear before my hiatus, and I couldn't afford to buy all of it for myself (but I did grab a few pieces). Anyway, yesterday two really good friends helped me to get the last piece, which was a Penitent's Rope (I refused to pay for something that I knew I could get with just a bit of help), and in addition to opening up the option of leveling RDM again, it really renewed my interest in FFXI and my enthusiasm for my character.

So anyway. There we are. Thanks so much to Kirsteena and Hulktified for being awesome as always. We got it on my first orb, which was an added bonus, but it's nice to know you guys would have stuck it out with me until we did, regardless.

Well, let's see ... after the most noobtastic party EVER and three of my own deaths, (bad tanking, but he was WAR/NIN so I guess I shouldn't have expected a whole hell of a lot) after being completely discouraged that I had wasted a charge on my Empress Band, I managed to get my WHM to 41 last night.

For shame, because I really wanted 42.

Sorry to hear that, Aksannyi. My own party wasn't any better. We ended up going to Bibiki Bay for some reason (they were all JP and didn't see fit to explain), and we got 4k exp and disbanded.

After 6-7 hours of skill ups (split between a couple days), I've finally brought my 100 sword skill to 175~ yay!~

First post in this thread, didn't feel like major achievments for me hitting 75whm, sky and etc, mainly because much of it was help from other people, so not something I put tons of work into

But tonight I finished up the Tenzen fight and arrived at sea!!!

Woot, we poked around, got the map, and finished the next mission while we were there!

Of the 6 months I've been playing, the vast majority of the last month has been dominated by CoP missions, and now I'm one step closer to a Raja's! ^^

Edit: Other first for me: I saw a UFO @.@ and it saw us @.@ and then proceeded to pwn us ; ;

I hoped on my Galka to help 2 LS mates do BCNM40 Royal Jelly's, and one of them was nice enough to supply me with some equipment since I was basically dead broke. I had 190 seals so I could do 4 orbs myself. All I really wanted was Utsusemi Ni for when I level NIN and Phalanx for my RDM. I walked out with 2 Ni's, Phalanx and a few other things so I'm basically thrilled that I could finally put those stacks of seals to use. Once the other Ni sells I'll be good with gil for a long time. The PLD sword also dropped but since I have no immediate plans to level it I gave it to the LS mate who lent me the equipment.

We went as WAR/MNK x2(one was me), and WHM/BLM. Needless to say this fight was really a joke. We ripped through the jelly's with our Horror Voulges so fast it was ridiculous. We broke the record also at 5 minutes and 11 seconds(might be off abit on the seconds, either 11 or 15) during one run so that was fun too :D.

I got my Carbuncle Mitts while we were hunting the pop item for Theif Knife...unfortunately haven't had one drop yet.

Yes..the emotes are adorable, and yes, UFO's tend to pwn anyone unless people are specifically looking for them.
