You should try it with the unoffical Windower's DrawDistance plugin if you haven't already. The difference is amazing.

I'd also recommend it. It's pretty handy, even if it is technically against the rules. Just don't ever mention it in-game and it won't matter.

In other news: I spent all night pulling for an alliance in Uleguerand Range.

I think it can best be summarized as:


There's a rhythm to it all, a rhythm which got thrown off until I decided to stop waiting on the party to deal with peeling the mobs off me. I want to believe I was able to function as a puller because Red Mage is a versatile job and I'm a competent Red Mage, but really I was just able to do it because I bother to maintain a PDT set, something which no one else on the server seems to bother with.

Learned (from good ol’ Rook) that Bst/War is the way to go when soloing for KIs.

2 Sword WSs
2 Staff WSs (but need some +staff skill gear/merits)
1 club Ws
1 Polearm WS (if you have event PA)
1 Scythe Ws

Potential 7/13 red procs.
Unfortunately I don’t have the event Polearm so I only have 6/13

But it’s much better than going /Dnc and only have the 2 daggers ones.

After (roughly) 55 hours of farming for them, I finally got the Charis shoes to drop. So DNC +1 is now all done.
