Got BLM from 85 to 90, which means I now have four level 90 jobs.

Got Firaja as a gold chest drop in Abyssea-Altepa. There were actually two in the chest, and there were two of us who could use it (or were about to be able to use it). Nice when SE gives you a 190k scroll (or two) for free.

Got a few atmas, none of which is sticking out in my mind.

Ivory Abyssite of Celerity -- I'm now swimming in stones.

Got a few random seals which I'll actually be able to use. WAR hands, BRD body, WHM body, NIN hands. Not sure when I'll get NIN that high, but I'm sure it will happen someday.

Windy 10 ... got from 6-10 over the weekend and solo'd or duo'd my way. After I switch back to Sandy to get all my OPs back, I guess I'm onto Basty.

Abyssite of Merit from gnat NM ... was gonna try and solo but a group was killing it already and I stood around bugging them with ATs {I'm interested} {Pleas} {Invite to join party} {stone} ::: {item} {No thanks} ... when it was down to like 10% they let me in.

Abyssite of Discernment... got all the clears and what not and totally for got about doing the questline... so a lot of running and wating for 18:00-5:00 happened.

Shinryu win ... buddy in the LS brewed it for several of us who had just gotten all the clears. Unfortunately only a cape dropped and he didn't need it ... but our LS leader did.

Been farming pop items for a bunch of runs for +2 THF feet things... not sure how many our LS has now... think 7 or so.

Farggen Gnat...I tried to solo on Bst. After about 20 minutes I realized it was taking longer than most solo boss fights I've done. Called a buddy and it was still taking a while. Finally the next day we did it as a LS follow up with the Skeleton in Gras. Yay for +20%hp/10%mp!!!

That skelly looks scary. I saw people wiping to it when I was in a group fighting Azdaja... I want all the Abyssites of Merit... pain in the ass and my wallet regarding the fame to get some of the abyssites I'd like.

I was a little nervous at first too but it’s really not that bad. It’s doom aura so you can get away from it. I think we did it with 7

Bst, Smn, War, Blm, Nin, Whm and Rdm I think

War and Blm were pretty much just there to Proc. Nin & Sam would occasionally go in and WS it. Whm drop some cures. Rdm helped out also. Main thing we did was put a Bst pet on it (fast one, Raptor/Lynx) and an avatar. When doom aura was up we’d heel the pets down by Bugards. Rinse repeat back up by skeletons. Couple of deaths from Nin and Blm who pulled too much hate at time but over all not much danger. Killed 2 more times (with no deaths) after for seals.

FINALLY did Divine Might the other night. Getting to the location took longer than the actual fight -- I think we finished at 9:27 ... and that was after a good minute or two buffing up before heading down the stairs to the fight. We had 12 people, and there was only one death (THF took Shield Bash to the face for over 3k damage).

I was seriously underwhelmed with the earring choices. I took a Suppa, but my heart really wasn't in it. Meh.

Got a few things done this morning:

Killed the La Thein Mega Boss. TBH I was not really impressed with him. I had no real intent to fight him going into the zone, but I was just running around collecting pop items to sell on the AH when I saw a PLD soloing it. I shot him a /tell asking if I could jump in for the clear and he said sure. I really just sat back and watched the guy solo it for a good 20 minutes.

Later on I got a /tell from a buddy saying that they were going to go kill him and wanted to know if I wanted in. I /shrug'd and said sure. I really hadn't looked to see what the thing dropped besides a clear... so I was really excited when it went down and I got the Atma of the Stout Arm. Man I would have killed him a lot sooner if I had know that was the Atma.

After getting back to Jeuno from that trip to La Thein, I answered a shout for Atma of Cloak and Dagger. Considering I'm working on my NIN, this was a must. I geared up and went along. The fight was simple enough... although I wasn't expecting the random disappearing act the NM does from time to time. All I really did was spam Paralyna the whole time. After we killed him, I noticed that the NM for Caller's Sash was up near us... so I asked if we could kill him while we were there and got no objections. He went down like a sack of bricks and I cast my lot... expecting noone to lot against me.

So that makes a grand total of 4/9 Zone Bosses and 1/7 Cataure. Only 3 more bosses for my 3rd lunar!!!! Woo!!!

Raider's Culottes +1 .. mine... was solo'n the bird in Misa and got it down to 8% when my BLM buddy said he'd help and on his way... first spell got me grellow and the 1 seal I had needed.

Couple seals for THF and DNC head .. my LS worked on those while I was taking a break so I'm playing catchup with them.

Did a Limbus run and got 1/2 of THF

808 exp per kill in East Ronfaure (S)...with a band, but still.

Exp has gone mad crazy I tell you. I had a party go from 37 to 42 in less than two hours at the fluffy bird camp, although we did eventually have to mix in some ladybugs. I was utterly stunned, since I figured I'd be doing good to just level, but no, I leveled and then racked up a 15k buffer o.O

This update broke exp pretty fantastically for those of us who aren't dwelling in Abyssea yet.

NIN 45 ~ new xp update is very welcomed. Getting 160-180 with an Empress band off of Gobs and Lizzies outside of Kazham was awesome.

Ninjutsu 126 ~ got many a level going from 44-45. The increase to skillups was amazing. Inspired me to buy all the elemental Ni spells I was missing and proly convinced me to take NIN up to cap next. Already had the Iga boots drop to me... would be a slow process.

Gaining fame in Aby-Kon. Took a bunch of Soul Gauger plates of VNMs and been turning them in so I can get the Abyssite of Merit. After that, I'll only need the Abyssite of Merit from Xibalba(sp?).

2 Om'Yovra organs. Went with a BLM buddy of mine. He wiped on the first attempt cuz he wanted to solo it so I held it until he had come back from HP'n to Jeuno. DNC 90 can survive and probably kill one but it would just take forever to do it. Close calls were cuz of Stipga and Vitriolic. Paralyze sucked but not as much as freakin' stripga. The regen is simply amazing even over land. After the first I watched as my BLM buddy solo'd one once he learned he needed to Slow them.

Raider's Poulaines +2 ~ Bunch of others got jewels, coins, and cards and completed a few AF3 +2 as well. We've been farming KI's for ages now.

Sanguine Scythe ~ I DC'd as the final blow was gonna happen. To me it looked like Bukhis still had a bunch of HP so I was really worried when I found that I couldn't log back in due to some POL error telling me my passwords were wrong. When I logged in, I found that I'd gotten the atma and another AF3 +2 jewel for possibly SAM feet.

Either it's placebo effect or the SE guys screwed up their reply about skill up rate not being affected but rather just allowed you to cap skill on DC mobs.

Either way you should be capping at around 135+ (IRC) at that level, so the skill ups probably had nothing to do with the update.

Idk but I went from 112 -126 in about 6k exp on EP mobs. My Katana went from about 115 - the late 130's as well. I was even getting pretty good skillups on my 105 Throwing. Whatever they did or did not do (placebo or not) ... it seems better than it was.

They did say something on twitter about making skillups easier (larger at least, if not more frequent as well), beyond just the level of mobs you can skill up on. I have also noticed that skillups are not only more frequent but larger values. I was standing around doing string skills on my 90BRD, and I only had one skillup that wasn't a .4 or .5, and I was able to get 2 full skills in about 15 minutes. In the past I would normally only get .2-.3 in that amount of time, if I were lucky.
