Doenst work for jugs either. I'm pretty sure Primal Rend (axe mythic WS) is the only one that will work for Bst. i dont remember my exact rampage damage but i do know it was roughly half (if not less) than Primal Rend. Did a Deciamtion too in hopes for a blu proc and that was ~3k only

Does smn get any elemental WS? it's been a while since i looked at staff/club skills.

I don't recall exactly what ones... but I'm pretty sure we do. I also know we can self skillchain with certain avatar Bps. Its just about timing.

Duo'd the Bomb NM in Aby-Vunk last night with BLM friend for seals. Ez Pz on DNC to tank that thing. Didn't get any SAM seals but finished my buddy's BLU seals.

Got the win in Aby-Kon last night. Pretty dragon... but hella mean. Pretty eyes... don't want to see em too many more times. Farmed the Eye for the KI several times.. pretty ez but a lot of work for our WHM on both the Eye and the Dragon.

In an attempt to get my medals back I went again to E. Ron for campaign... was solo'n 3 orcs along with a Moonfang Warrior at one point. The couldn't touch me mostly. Kinda fun to drag them to other people fighting mobs and use Glory Slash from having my Lex Talionis (sp?) stun-ga all the mobs and do 300-500dmg.

Decided to level some subs to 49 the other day. Jumped on my 44 whm to start and ended up taking it to 75 before I passed out. I really just wanted an excuse to farm curor. So with that being said, guess I’ll take it to 90 and become a Whm too…good thing I started saving every seal I got.

I’ll probably need merit suggestions too since I’m completely full on everything else. All buffers capped, 20 merits and 9999/10,000. Exp was useless to me until the other day.

You won’t really be skill chaining. You’ll have enough time to maybe do 1 and that’s only because you can start off with a BP followed by a WS. After that, your avatar will die seconds after you engage. And your not going to waste time resummoning. My jugs last maybe 10 seconds. The brew gives you 50tp regain along with 300 hp/hp regen/refresh. So you don’t even need to cure yourself after you use it.

You’ll enter, use your items and spam an elemental WS. You just need to work on timing and not strike while he’s using a TP move or casting. That’s where I messed up. Judging by a few Rdm screen shots (who chainspell nuked it), I’m pretty sure I was 1 (maybe 2) WS off from killing. But I messed up my last WS and ended up curing him for double.

Not sure how the game plays now, but those have always been solid merits. Martyr is not required if you don't want, but I found it very useful as a free Cure IV (possibly more now with higher HP and such), but a lot of WHMs just put that one into Devotion. Up to you, depends if you want 15 minutes or 12.5 (iirc, been a damn while).

Any way cap Shellra V unless you have Aegis PLDs in your ls - doubtful but you never know. I'd capped it but didn't need it when I got in my last ls because we had 5 Aegis and almost never had a PLD without. By that time I couldn't be fucked to change my merits though, lol.

Any way cap Shellra V unless you have Aegis PLDs in your ls - doubtful but you never know. I'd capped it but didn't need it when I got in my last ls because we had 5 Aegis and almost never had a PLD without.

Now a days... especially in Abyssea... it's THF, NIN, MNK, or DNC tank or GTFO. It's now PLD's turn to beg.

I didn't even touch it tbh. Between Light Arts, Equipment & Atma it's just totally unnecessary. 5/5 Regen & Barspells for me. I've always found protectra 5 to be a waste (especially since I can just Accession + Protect 5 anyway) so I went 5/5 Devotion & Shellra 5. I suppose Martyr can be handy in some scenarios but honestly even outside of Abyssea I still prefer to just rely on Cure 5/6, using Penury or Celerity as needed.

This branch-off of the thread has sparked me to think of what my ultimate goal will be for main jobs.

I currently have SMN at 90. I know that over the years that I've played the job, in order to become as good as I am and as well geared as I am, it took a loooooooong time. I like to consider myself a high-end player who not only wants... but NEEDS the biggest and best gear. That's been the whole reason behind me not working towards another main job until now.

The ones I'm looking into are WHM, COR and NIN.

WHM I have a lot of good gear for, due to getting lucky lotting on various drops that went to free-lot.
Cor I worked on for a while and collected a lot of the end-game gear as I played SMN. I have a full set of AF2 gear for my lvl 53 COR.

The one I'm most concerned about is NIN. I really want to play NIN so that I can work to become one of those SUPER-TANKs that I keep seeing in all sorts of NM parties in Abyssea.

It seems that the Full AF3+2 set is pretty damn epic for NIN, but what am I looking at as far as weapons, belts, earrings, rings and back pieces to make myself epic beyond epic? I'm clueless when it comes to NIN.

Anyone wana shed some light?

Sch is at 27…everytime I bring myself to leveling a sub…I get bored after 1 or 2 FoV pages. I’ll always be a Bst first followed by Pup & Smn.

For Whm (just like my Blm), I’ll cap my skills, probably get all +1s pieces and maybe some other important pieces but it will be one of those jobs to fill in a gap if needed. I’d probably use very little macro gear as most of my inventory is taken up by Pet Job stuff.

I wont lie though, I’m enjoying whm at the moment but with some of my newly obtained atmas I’m having way too much fun with Bst.

Kannagi. Get one, now.

Also get a Kamome (+10% crit dmg), 100% drop off Sobek. Swap that out for the OA2~4 katana depending on the situation in your offhand. The WoE version also works, but honestly Briareus & Sobek are not that difficult. Sobek can be nasty, but not if you red lock him and just wail away.

Briareus is just a fucking joke. Kite him around the lake all day with DD's dropping WS as he passes by (or if you can get someone with Either Blade: Hi or Victory Smite, possibly Ukko's Fury as well (but WAR's survivability is shitty) they can lay waste to him in around 55 seconds with temps and no I'm not kidding)

Empyrean WS are broken as hell.

8/8 Unkai feet seals. The feet dropped in a chest as well but someone mistakenly ninja lotted them cuz they thought that they would go /random and didn't see that I had lotted and people were congratulating me. Thinkin' they were afk... idk... still think it's fukt up.

Duo'd a few Amphi's on THF/DNC attempting to get the claw drop and get my BLU friend the spell... didn't get anything but hides. But my BLU friend did get the spell. When he wiped right at the beginning of a fight and had to make it back to Beaucedine (S) from Jeuno I tanked it pretty well. Thinking I could solo these if I start out with a bunch of TP w/ my THF.

I got both my WAR legs +1 & my BRD legs +1 last night.

Now I'm trying to decide which path to take for my last Great Axe trial (I have a Sumeru +1). Do I take the path that gives 7 more damage (bringing DMG to 111) & keeps WS damage +10% (same as on current), or do I take the path that keeps me at DMG 104, takes away the 10% WS damage bonus, and gives TP Bonus+100?

I keep flip-flopping. Does anyone here have suggestions?
