RDM 75 last night! This is my second job to 75...and next week is my 2-year anniversary in FFXI. Hmmm.
Now I just need eleventy merits and some good gear.

first job that I'm actually 6/6 on...I passed up a chance to bid on RDM belt telling myself that I didn't feel like spending any points, but noone else was taking this so I figured it was worth a minimum bid.

What are the stats on Rune Chopper, and does it always out perform the Perdu Voulge as long as you have Refresh?

DMG: 88 | Delay: 504
Latent Effect: Accuracy+5, Haste+9% (Trigger: Weapon drawn + MP > 0)
Hidden effect: -3 MP/tick while weapon is drawn.
DPS: 10.48

Perdu Voulge
DMG: 91 | Delay: 504
Latent effect: DMG: 96, Acc+5, Attack+10 (Trigger: TP < 100)
DPS: 10.83/11.43

Perdu Voulge's DPS advantage is 9%. The improvement in DPS from Rune Chopper's +9% Haste is 13.6% at 25% Haste (Spell + 10% in gear) and 16% at 35% Haste (Spell + 10% in gear + Hasso.) 10% is pretty obtainable (5% Turban, 5% from Dusk hands/legs) and if you have Byakko's Haidate or a haste belt the advantage is even bigger. So yeah, it outperforms, and in the case of /NIN is also better for Utsusemi recast.

The cap on haste gear is 25% correct? So if you're already using:

turban - 5%
dusk hands - 3%
swift belt - 4%
haidate - 5%
dusk feet 2%
chopper - 9%

You'd be over 3%, so better to probably alternate something in for the hands. Askar hands or... Umm... Whats your gear setup Callisto for using Rune? DRG's at 63, and I think I'm taking WAR to 75 next...

In practice you might only be 2% over the limit, since %'s listed are often slightly less than advertised (e.g. you may have 2.9% in hands instead of 3%.) Either way, replacing the feet would also be an option.

Pretty sure haste cap from gear is somethign like 25.4-9%. So you need 26% to effectively "cap" it.

But yeah, you'd be well over with that setup. You could probably actually change your feet to another piece, with slightly better stat's

My TP sets are different w/ RC, I trade out Acc/Blitz Rings for Thunderx2, Turban/Dusk Gloves for Askar/Askar

My wife and I both love to play videogames. I play FFXI on both my laptop and the PS3. I usually prefer to use the PS3 and it was the whole reason I purchased a keyboard for it in the first place. Recently she has been a nazi about playing CoD Modern Warfare 2 and has been hogging the system every night... all night. So I think this post belongs here...

I finally broke down and bought a second PS3... this time I hunted myself down a 60gig. It should be coming in the mail today. This way I don't have to wait my turn.

Does that make me:

...or
(6) More impatient than a Post-Op tranny in line for the womens bathroom for the first time?
