I finally have Sky access. It took a solid 12 hour stretch but I did it.

One of the more memorable quotes of the day while travelling out to Ifrit's Cauldron for ZM5:



An exchange after nearly getting wiped by the Ash Dragon room of flame spewing death because my sneak dropped near a bomb and my invis was ticking away while the Ash Dragon was facing me. It pretty much meant recast invis and get blown up or don't and risk getting chewed up by the dragons. I went for the former



Now to find a small army of BLMs for a certain quest that gives me one of 4 earrings that will get tossed into storage never to be seen again because nobody wants to just simply do the ZM14 mission.

Not much lately. I got some awesome titles though from Tiamat and KV.

I did manage to merit once last week. That's an accomplishment all its own.

Seems like less people are focused on assaults and more focused on OMGZ NYZUL CLEARZ. It's gonna suck when I go for captain.

Shame too, I find assaults a lot of fun.

What I find sad is that everyone gets 3 assault tags a day and most Nyzul permas I've been in tend to only run a something like 1-2 times a week. A lot of people use "I'm saving tags" as an excuse even though tags don't carry over until the next day and you get all 3 back every JP midnight...

The logic of some people on this game both astounds me and makes me worry how they can function i nthe real world.

No you don't. You get seven per week, more if you're Captain. The game refreshes one per day, and it refreshes based on the time you got your ID Tag. If you get an Imperial Army ID Tag and wait a few days, you can end up with four tags so that your assault static can do four runs instead of three. The reason people have three tags is that they wait until three have built up, since it's much easier to just do three runs in quick succession than it is to find a group to go every day.

I wish I got three per day. I'd have been Captain a long time ago.

Shell we Dance was being a pain in the butt with Bladmall not wanting to come out of its shell. The annoyance was worth it, we got a Blau Dolch. Yay for moneys

Don't EVER feel inadequate about your accomplishments! Personally, I prefer reading about newer players accomplishments over the established ones. I've never crafted armor myself, but I remember the first piece I had crafted and how nervous I was. Then when he made it and it failed, how devestated I was knowing I had to obtain all that shit again!! LOL So congrats on your accomplishments!!

Anyhow, this morning I had an awesome ending to a Besieged. I was already pretty happy because I had re-capped my magic skills and even learned a few more tricks to be efficient at capping them. (and I only have six more times to do them unless I take RDM to 75) But at the very last second before retreat, an Aerial Torpedo hit Self-Destruct. There were six KOs, and I got hit for 1142, leaving me with less than 20HP. That was 20HP between getting 1740XP and 0XP. Even though Giant's Drink was partly responsible, I feel safe in calling that my hardest survived hit so far.

So me and my two taru friends went to go do Sheep in Antlion's clothing. The setup was me(sam/nin), sam/nin, rdm/whm.

Well, the other sam/nin forgot to get the key item after climbing the mountain. Soooooooo the rdm and I thought we would just dick around and go down trying.

Through some act of god, we won. >_> And we weren't lucky either. We got the armored one, which we had to constantly sleep. And another random one too. Time to edit wiki...

We beat Count Dracula last static, which was our first BOSS fight for Captain. That F'er was tough... We tried the first strat I had seen in wiki, blm x 3, rdm, whm, and blu. Got him down to 50% pretty easily, he charmed our blu and spawned a Cursed Doppleganger (sp?), then it was over. Tried the same setup again, same result. We switched up the party to NIN x 2, sam/nin, whm, rdm, blu. One nin to tank Dracula, the other nin to voke and tank the Cursed Doppleganger whenever it spawns, and the mages to sleep whichever shmo gets charmed. This strat worked and we won! >:O (I hope all the other bosses for Captain aren't this much a pain in the ass, but i think they will be...)
