Yeah, that was fun.

That's always fun, isn't it? I remember doing that on a Promyvion run, but then our party later realized it was because the server records had been reset and we were all "Aaawww." Still, it made us all the happier when we won the BCNM, so we were fine with that. ^^

I've posted my latest accomplishment, but not my BEST, so I think I might as well post it. Mind you, it consists of two events that accomplished the same end result, and though they may be hard to believe, I have a witness to confirm this.

Well, at the time I was a 66SMN/WHM, and apparently to the recent alliances and parties doing ZMs to get sky, I was too low level (though I had managed to do a good amount of damage in ZM4 as a lower-level Dragoon...at the time of course). My friend, a 75RDM, really wanted to show me sky, so he got his 70PLD friend with him shortly after I got ZM5 done and we attempted to Trio ZM6. We failed about four or five times (never got past the first ant; it was all simply bad luck @.@) with usually only my RDM friend dead (seriously, those ants hated his guts), but on our last try things were finally going our way, and we we were down to the last ant (the RNG one).

WHACK! Down went the RDM.

I hit Astral Flow and shoved Aerial Blast down the ant's throat. We can still do this, I thought. We can definitely win this time, this is nothing.

WHACK! Down went the PLD. De-level included (ouch).

I was the only one left. I was already making for the BCNM exit, and the RDM was crying, "Eiyoko, get out of here!!!" Then I looked at my MP and something clicked in my head: I had roughly 5-10 MP left - just enough to summon Carbuncle if but for a very short amount of time (I had solo'd bombs so many times with free Carbuncle that I had become an expert on gaging how much longer my MP would last me - you can ask my friend about that, too; I've used it outside this BCNM). I also still had Astral Flow in effect, so I was still regaining MP one at a time. My Carby-kiting instincts kicked in and before I knew it I had dismissed Garuda and was summoning Carbuncle. Everything happened kinda fast from that point on and I barely remember most of it, but when Carby had the ant distracted, I began my normal kiting routine. The RDM had reraised, along with the PLD, and the RDM went right back down again when the Ant decided to have ADD (LOL we all said later O.o). Carbuncle once again had the ant distracted. At this point, it had gone from a tiny portion of HP bar left to a mere sliver. The PLD got up, healed, and began attacking the ant alongside Carby. I stood just out of AoE range, and my health bar was in red. Before long, so was Carby's. At this point, it was only a matter of time and luck - whomever's sliver disappeared first.

About 30 seconds to a minute later, the ant went down, and we had won.

Before setting the crystal fragments in the pedestals for the mission, I had to catch my breath, BIG TIME. We had made it out by the skin of our teeth. After I raised my RDM pal, our PLD buddy went to Al Zahbi to re-gain his level in Besieged while we replaced her with a 70-ish ninja and proceeded to the Kam'lanaut fight.

We lost once or twice, once again due to bad luck. Finally, on our last attempt, Kam'lanaut had the nerve to dispel on us, getting rid of some of our best buffs. At this point, I had had enough. I summoned Shiva and made him eat Diamond Dust. While it didn't do as much damage as I had anticipated (He switched away from wind element to something else - not Ice though - at the last second), it sent his HP down to a sliver, and was pretty much the deciding blow in the fight. We won the fight afterward without a hitch, though my RDM buddy had once again bitten the dust, as he did in every single ZM he helped me with (poor guy - he's actually quite a good Red Mage, it just wasn't his lucky day, I guess).

Later, we needed to clear that pot NM for opening up Sky. First time we tried, that thing played dirty and we met a bitter defeat. We got up, tried again, and we beat the living pulp outta him (and this time, I made SURE my RDM friend didn't die; I kept Carbuncle out and saved all my MP for casting cure and commanding Carby to use Healing Ruby at regular intervals. I also kept up my reputation as the "Regen Fiend", as I am known for making very good use for the spell regen whenever I have it at my disposal). And then I got Sky.

So we didn't use any full parties for any of the listed ZMs, which probably wasn't smart, but there was hardly anyone on and we knew it was doable. After losing a few times (with my RDM pal suffering severe exp loss - luckily, he had maxed out his EXP in some merit parties earlier), we came out with some pretty amazing wins, and the party members told me that I had been the one that had determined our victory in the end.

I assure you, none of that is exaggerated, though I find it hard to believe myself, my friend confirms it's not every time I start to think it is.

The funny thing is, I still don't quite know how exactly I managed to pull it off. I probably never will. O.o;

Well, kinda weak, but I got my subjob yesterday - now my WHM is 19 and I'm working on catching up my BLM, who is currently only 5. I wanna try to get him to at least 10 by tomorrow.

My latest accomplishment isn't much, but it's kind of one of those "Captain Ahab will have his whale" things - after killing 152 Ivory Lizards, I finally got the Elshimo Marble to drop, so I have Teleport-Yhoat ^^

Finished CoP(Tamas Ring!), dinged 75 BRD, and got my 8th and final Enfeebling Magic merit all in the same weekend. And I ate some Taco Bell.

I'm going to refight Maat as RDM with a new strategy, an enfeebling torque, capped elemental, enfeebling, and enhancing magic, and a lot of agitation from my friends who think it would take too long just to get WHM up there and fight him.

Good friend oif mine who was helping another friend do CoP 8.3, rangled a few of the members into helping me. and god did kick the WAR's ass. 4 Weaponskills on sam killed him pretty much (2 HR) my gear is ok, but nowhere near good.
