Peacock Amulet

Hello,
This is something that I have told myself over and over that I need... but I just can't seem to get it! I've camped Argus off and on for a good 3 months now... apparently my strategies aren't working because I'm 0/0 on Argus... Anyone have any ideas? Anything is appreciated. =)

peacock charm is overrated and overpriced. Eat sushi, get snipers rings and a life belt and you'll do fine.

No matter what your equips are there are diminishing returns when it comes to accuracy.. You'll drive yourself crazy trying to camp Argus and competing with the botters. Some of these dudes have NM camping down to a science.

The lvl40 bcnm "Under observation" in horalis peak drops the PPC.

You are aware the Argus doesn't drop Peacock Charm anymore it's Peacock Amulet which is identical to Peacock Charm except that it is Rare/Ex so less reason for botters to go for it now. What's strange to me is last time I checked that area there were actually more people camping it now that it's the Amulet then they had when it was the Charm.

When it was the charm more people botted so less people went to camp it knowing the chance of success was low. Now its rare/ex and there are no gilsellers there and/or normal players just botting cause their greedy so more people go expecting to claim it?

What Aeolus said is most likely true... it'll take a very long time until the hordes of people who want a Peacock Amulet dies out, I bet. A bummer, eh,,

Not sure what you mean by that, you mean trying to get it for multiple characters they posses? It's Rare/Ex so no Trade and no Sale. The only way they could possibly make money from it is to start charging for their services.

I ment greedy people who are willing to bot just to get alot of cash before it was made rare/ex wont be there anymore.

If the BCMN is not rare/ex then the gil sellers could be botting it to drive the price up of the non rare/ex one becayse if pepole cant get it from camping then they will be more willing to pay lots of gil for it. Thats the only logical reason i can think of why its camped more now.

I know what you're trying to get at, but I don't think thats really the case. Gilsellers don't have much of a monopoly on the BCNM since getting beastman seals is much harder than botting a spawn point. Plus, botting a spawn point for a rare/ex item won't help them make anymore seals. Most likely its the more unscrupulous regular players wanting their amulets w/o actually having to try for them.

Not to mention it takes some degree of skill to win the BCNM fights . Moreso then solo muscle power Vs. one mob.

Be warned, Under Observation BCNM has a bad drop rate. I'm 0/12 currently. Its supposed to be a 5% chance for charm to load. Which means the average for getting the charm would be 1/20. Buh bye, seals.

Other than that, Under Obs is easily burned by 3 blms doing ES+Stonega II > Thundaga > Blizaga > Stonega II. Takes about a minute to do the fight, not counting buff time. Just make sure you have your back to them so that you don't get hit by gaze attacks and that someone is ready to curaga in case of emergencies.

I would really like one for my DRK in the 60's. No double attack to bail me out, so I need ever hit to count. I have thought about camping it, the only problem is that Somepage lists Argus as an 18 to 30hr spawn. That's one helluva spawn window to monitor. F___ that! I'll just have to get my hands on the Chivalrous Chain and go on about my business.

Anybody need to do an Assault? MNK in my LS just spent 5M for his Chain yesterday. I'm still saving up for my Hauby damn it!

I camped him for 9 days straight. Killed him 4 times and killed Leech King twice. 0/4 on Argus. The window is just too ridiculous. I had a friend go AFK in the LK room so if he was killed he would be able to tell me, while I sat in the tunnel. He has popped in the big room and the little room.
