Not only is the window ridiculous, but the drop rate is horrible.

Best chance of getting it - log out at claim area when there is a maintenance, hope to get back in first and try to claim before others log in. Worked for a friend of mine.

Yeah I have camped that thing so many times and still no Drop...But Im starting to get the Impression I just dont need it or just wasnt meant to have it..Either way I do fine..My Corsair is doing just fine without it now..But Maybe someday I may try again..Who knows

Yeah, one thing SE did when they made the drops rare/ex is carry the HORRIBLE drop rate over to BCNMs(It is more efficent to do 20 BCNM Worm's Turn and earn gil to buy it than do the under obv. 20 times) and make the drop rate of the rare/ex mobs worse.

however, I am glad that people at least have a higher chance of getting it, but same chance of drop

20M on Midgardsormr i was at the maze for my RSE and thought id go check the king leech and Argus, king wasnt there but the Argus was 2 ppl were camping it but they were AFK LOL ROFL so i was 75%HP as a lvl50THF/25NIN so i healed right next to it got agrod about 87%HP so i started to fight it keeping shadows up it didnt hit me much but the magic spells took 2 of my shadows each time i timed it right and in the end got him down to 8% health i already used PD so i died nearly killed it 1 more hit and i wouldve had him so i goto my HP at jeuno and get a teleport-mea went back still unclaimed those ppl were still AFK so i started fighting full health sushi no PD and i killed it with 56HP left and i got the drop! 1/1 This is the only thing i use now and my LB and my sishi i never ever miss its worth it but not for 3 months thats abit sad camping it for that long and u havnt even killed it most ppl wouldve gave up and just bought it u couldve made that much money by the time u get the drop >< i was just licky everytime i go there with my friend now its got atleast 10 ppl camping it!

I would really like one for my DRK in the 60's. No double attack to bail me out, so I need ever hit to count. I have thought about camping it, the only problem is that Somepage lists Argus as an 18 to 30hr spawn. That's one helluva spawn window to monitor. F___ that! I'll just have to get my hands on the Chivalrous Chain and go on about my business.

Anybody need to do an Assault? MNK in my LS just spent 5M for his Chain yesterday. I'm still saving up for my Hauby damn it!

You don't need that amulet tdh. I went with an RG Collar and was fine.

Sniper's (5 acc) x2 = 10acc (You can use it on any job)
Haubu (10 acc) = 10 acc (You can use it for a LOT of melee jobs)
Life Belt (10 acc) = 10 acc (Like sniper's)

That's already 30 acc. Assault Earring gives another 2 acc, RG Collar gives 4 more (Or merman's gorget gives 5 acc) and that level 30 San Cp gloves gives like 2 acc I think (You can get more when you can wear thick set, since each piece gives both acc and atk for the loss of evasion). If you *really* need that much acc, that's how to do it and add sushi to the mix.

Like someone said above, there's diminishing returns for so much acc. If you're still missing at this point, that means you're fighting something you shouldn't be for your level.

Yes, yes....Accuracy has diminishing returns and all that fun stuff that is used by people to convince themselves they don't need it.

I don't have it myself, but I wish I had it. It's the same Acc as Life Belt or 2 Sniper's Rings. However, it's in one slot that doesn't have a lot of fantastic alternatives, barring sea torques and Spike Necklace.

If I were to wear a Peacock Amulet as a MNK, then I could either drop my Sniper's Rings and wear Puissance Rings or keep my Sniper's Rings and eat meat instead of sushi (which I'd love to do). I don't use a Life Belt myself, but if you were a Life Belt+Spike Necklace MNK, then getting the PCC/PCA would allow you to go the Brown Belt+Peacock Charm route, which just about any MNK would prefer.

So it's not usually about the Acc it gives you. It's about what OTHER stats you can get when you're able to swap out excess Acc gear/food.

Only piece of gear for my 72 DRK i don't have. Peacock Charm. I have full thick set, x2 woodsman rings, mermans gorget, bomb core, mermans ear ring, assault ear ring, life belt. so yeah pretty much ACC out the butt.

Only reason i want peacock charm is to make up for when I replace my woodsman rings with flame rings.

I know some BST on my server who would be willing to help me do this bcnm, Just hope it drops on first try

I'm still debating the idea of the Assault Earring. Is that Acc+2 worth 1.2M?

I went with the Woodsman since I'm working with a THF. DEF-20 on top of my already not so great DEF doesn't help for 1st Provoke. (And I don't plan on leveling NIN past Lv.37~40, so the Eva-10 isn't so important)

I'm working on my Chivalrous Chain for Lv.60. Only 7,001 AP left for that one. (Don't wanna spend the 5M a LS MNK spent on his.) But right now I'm trying to raise the funds for my Hauby and my Vassago's Scythe.

Usually my Acc does pretty well. I'm beating a THF to TP, but I had some trouble last night. DRK56 Vs. Crabs in the Cape, and my Acc was not so hot. There were times I was having problems getting to 100%. But overall, my Acc isn't bad. I just figured in the 60's Acc+40 or more would be the way to go.
